If the premise is a romantic vacation, I always choose some sea place (as my avatar easily suggests :D )

I don't like remote islands or places like Maldives, because I love the sea but I want to visit something too. So maybe some place in souht-east Asia, like Thailand, or South America. I know, none of these are out of the boxes ideas :D but that's exactly why a lot people like these places.

Speaking of Thailand, I read an article in the last week or so that they're cracking down on street food in Bangkok :( This is after CNN recently said Bangkok was the world's top city for street food. Supposedly by the end of the year, no more street food in Bangkok. I feel like their tourism revenue is going to take a dive and a lot of the "little" people are going to be hurting from it.

Not at all the same as cherry blossom season in Japan, but both on the East Coast and the West Coast, I really enjoy spring when all the blossoming cherries/etc are doing their thing. So lovely. I imagine there are cherries blossoming outside of the the coastlines of course, I just haven't personally seen them :p

Have you ever had a chance to scuba dive or snorkel in Hawaii? Good times
Of all the things they could crack down on in Thailand, they choose street food?

Sigh. They can't resist the lure of AAW, you know, considering the women here are so awful. You'd think they'd just go about their business in a part of the site not dedicated to responses from... women. They apparently believe they have the right to dictate how women here express themselves and that we have a duty to acquiesce.
We need a different section called 'Tell A Woman', where all of the fuckwits can go to tell women what to think, what to say, whether to speak at all, and how to behave. That way, threads can be moved from 'Ask A Woman' to the appropriate place.

I am not going to contribute to this thread since the OP has sought to exclude a member.

This is a public forum. No one has a right to exclude anyone from participating in an open forum. Apparent violations are to be reported to the moderators. The Ignore button functions as it should. There is no need for public denouncement of anyone.

Well you make a point. But I had/have one wish and the member in question didn't respect it. So that happened. So by definition she was disrespectful.

I posit that you were disrespectful in your initial demand singling out a member by name. Bad form.

But it's my thread. I set the tone and context. Some can say she got butthurt to be excluded. Not me, but some can say that.

Sweetie, once you start a thread you have no control on the direction. Trust me on this. If you'd see the number of reports the moderating team receives from members complaining that someone is not contributing to their thread in the way they'd like you might understand.

It's not your thread. You are the original poster, the thread starter. If you wish to post something without receiving feedback start a website or post a blog. I value the diversity of the contributions, snarky replies notwithstanding. I've come to realize that not everyone agrees with me. It wasn't a shock.

I wanted feedback, not hers though. I get it , it sucks to be unwanted but as in real life you suck it up and move on and maybe respect the guy that started the conversation just like in real life. You don't go right to anyone's face and talk to him/her. Internet is part of life people should behave the same way in every situation. Just saying.

First of all, welcome to the Internet.

This is not like real life. I believe I have spoken to exactly three people about big weenies in real life.

Your membership here not only allows but encourages participation. Not all participation is positive, I'll grant you that, but likewise not all of life's interactions with others are positive. But if you treat each one as an opportunity for growth then you'll have a much better time than tilting at windmills.

One cannot regulate another's reaction to a situation, especially a situation of their creation. It is hoped that people will respond in a certain way, but alas, my 45 years have taught me otherwise. And now I've come to expect it.

I highly recommend taking your own advice and sucking it up and moving on. But like you, I doubt that my desires will be followed.

You know what I'll follow your advice and be the better man in this situation. But I don't think or even want to be friends or make things better with her. I'll just ignore her because I don't want to talk to her or even value her opinion.

I've been telling you to put me on ignore, MULTIPLE times since you get butt hurt. You don't say you want to ignore/not interact with someone and publicly call them out. That's counterproductive as heck.

It's funny that you speak for butt hurt. Very funny indeed.

Of all the things they could crack down on in Thailand, they choose street food?

The article I read was saying that they thought it made the streets cluttered and some other stuff. I've watched a lot of food/travel stuff both off of things like actual food/travel channels on TV as well as people's stuff on YouTube. Bangkok is far from the worst city I've seen footage of, as far as crowded, cluttered, etc.
