I love Dave Chappelle, DL Hughley, Bernie Mack, Steve Harvey The Wayans and Of course Wayne Brady. Here is a Dave CHappelle stand up I couldnt find any of his shows.

YouTube - Dave Chappelle-Good To Come Home(stand up comedy)=

I also loved In Living Color's Men on Films books fitness etc and Homey the CLown.
YouTube - Men On Art - In Living Color

The best Chappelle had to be Rick James and Charlie Murphy.

"CHARLIE MURPHY!! THE DARKNESS!!!"

"I'm Rick James bitch!"

HAHAHA... I forgot about that one!

"Mr. Pibb + Red Vines = CRAZY DELICIOUS"

they do a lot of their best work in those digital shorts these days. Natalie Portman's Gangsta Rap, the Dick in a Box song, Iran So Far Away...hilarious.

One of my favorites is from an old show "The Carol Burnette Show", where she plays a character known as Nora Desmond and she descends this grand staircase making all these exaggerated facial expressions. I used to imitate her doing that scene...I had her down pat! Very funny.

did you ever see the Norma Desmond character in Sunset Boulevard that she based it off of?

oh god! Rowan Atkinson is a comedic god! have you seen his one man show? the three wedding monologues, Satan's welcome speech into Hell, the Shakespearean actor, Jesus as a magician...the entire show is packed with hilarity.

I loved In Living Color, especially the "Men on Film" and "Ugly Woman" ("Wanda") skits. That's the only comedy series I have on DVD in its entirety.

I also loved the "The Continental" skits with Christopher Walken on SNL.

A few have already mentioned the Rick James skit from Chappele's Show, which I loved, but I also liked the one about Prince.

Just about all of the skits/crank calls on Crank Yankers were hilarious! I especially liked the ones with "Niles Standish," "Tony Deloge," "Bobby Fletcher," "Elmer," and "Helen Higgins."

I always liked the skits with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway together - Tim Conway would do stuff improv that no one was expecting, and Harvey Korman would be cracking up on camera. Gotta love it! :biggrin1:

I liked the "Men On..." series on "In Living Color" too.

wait...you don't like Rowan Atkinson, but you think Little Britain is hilarious? I guess the SNL comment should've tipped me off.

A big favorite with me, is the SNL skit from 1975 with the racist dad played by Dan Aykroyd fuming about black people "taking over." and his white wife and kids leave the room and come back Black. This is from the Episode hosted by Richard Pryor.

LOL! was that also the episode that had the sketch (it's not a skit, it's a sketch...just so we're all clear) with Pryor and Chevy Chase doing the word association (i think as part of a job interview) that descends into them trading racial epithets? cuz that was some funny shit right there. :biggrin1:

"Porch monkey!"
"Honkey!"
"Nigger!"
"DEAD honkey!"
"...okay, I think you've got the job!"

back when SNL was cutting edge political satire and not just a collection of mediocre celebrity impressions and catch phrases.

Great thread. I would cite:

- More Cowbell (already mentioned)

- Tim Conway's elephant improv on the Carol Burnett Show (watch the rest of the cast, and listen for the end)
YouTube - Carol Burnett Show outtakes - Tim Conway's Elephant Story

- Foster Brooks as a drunk airline pilot on the Dean Martin Show
