Moved so much as a child, hard to decide which one is 'home-town'-- hmm, a big forest fire in the early 20th century and paper and toothpicks.

I posted earlier on the town I was born in. But this is what Wikipedia has to say about the town I grew up in....
"The community is famous for its warm, sandy beaches, and for being the home of many Hollywood movie stars and others associated with the entertainment industry. Signs around the city proclaim "27 miles of scenic beauty"

Among other things the place I was born was known for being the same place that the late Senator and 1 time Presidential candidate Frank Church was born. The house we lived in was located only a little more than a block away from the cemetery where he ended up being buried.
