Speaking for myself I have lost sleep over some issues here. My wish for you. Be a moderator for a day before you belittle others.
He can't... no empathy today.
I would say that while it may not be a job I've found that most of the
people whom I thought were "good friends" or "decent people"
have all turned out to have some of these disturbing
qualities of a sociopath.
I guess you would need those qualities to lie to someones face or
manipulate people throughout your life. I'm not talking about folks who occasionally
do this but those who have these traits firmly entrenched in their personalities, psyches, etc.
I've found a few who simply deny that they would ever hurt someone but to believe that
you'd have to ignore all the nastiness they inflict on people {unintentionally of course!} in
the course of "being civil" as they call it!
Of course many of these folks don't physically kill you..... :biggrin1:

Not all sociopaths are killers or even criminals though they are usually manipulative and duplicitous. Sociopaths are perfect liars as they feel no anxiety in doing so and have no tells.
What causes most sociopaths to be alienating is their frequent need to toy
with people for amusement with each episode becoming progressively more antagonistic.
