Really?
I knew the number would be high, but that surprises me a bit.
Good to know the number, though.
Well when you consider the number of cultures there have ever been in the world, and the number of gods some of them have had, they do mount up.

I wrote "(I wondered if I should add "Satan" options.)" but that would create confusion with so many theists believing in Satan.

Satan is not God. Satan is not even "a" god in my theology. He can be a god in the sense that people can (and will) worship anything, but Satan = God? Nup.

I believe in God, but none of the ones you've described in your poll.

This.

Hm... we might have something in common here!

At the risk of drawing down the usual ire attentdant upon admitting this kind of thing, I voted that I do not believe in any kind of god or gods.

He actually looks a bit like a crustacean, Cal....I believe in Salt and Pepper Calamari rather than Noodles or Wafers.

Now where's my Sweet Chili Sauce?

Just curious, how is that different from "no gods"?

It's possible to believe that one plays a role in fate without understanding either the architecture, mechanism nor "presence" behind it.

If you'd asked me ten years ago, I'd have been much more certain that I at least had the question right, even if I found the answer imponderable. Lately, I find the entire subject imponderable and hold a "wait and see" attitude not entirely unlike Vince's.

Again: regardless of its consequences, we'll never understand the meaning (if any) of our lives until they're over. There cannot be a religion without some meditation on the meaning of life, therefore I chose "other".

You seem very sure of the attributes of Satan.

Don't Satanists worship Satan?
