So imagine you can be a fly in the wall in a high school senior or college freshman locker room (all people inside 18). As they change clothes, what would the breakdown of boxer-briefs, boxers, jocks, trunks, etc, be? Assume this group of 18 year olds is representative of 18 year olds in general, and isn't like all swimmers, all football players, all gay guys, all into fashion, etc.

So, I ask:

1) What country are you from/in?
2) What would the breakdown of 18 year old underwear preference be in your country?

Note: Because nomenclature changes between countries, I created the following graphic to keep terminology consistent in this topic.

With all due respect most of the guys in that thread are posed rather than candid pics. Also most of the guys are gay, these are not representative of typical/average guys
Though I didn't post any pics, I'm 22, strait, and wear designer briefs. While I lived in socal a decent amount of my strait friends wore them aswell. I wouldn't say it was the majority but decent amount did. With that being said I moved back too the midwest and I don't know anyone here that's close to my age that wears them.

boxer briefs almost exclusively. RARELY traditional boxers.

Hanes and Fruit of the Loom boxer briefs mostly.

Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and other designer brands. Ethika, and PSD (Mostly black guys) American Eagle, Pair of Thieves come to mind.

Nike boxer briefs are gaining popularity. A lot of other athletic brands have been gaining traction as well. (Puma, Reebok, Adidas, Head, etc.)

Calvin Klein more for "metrosexual" guys.

In the UK Calvin Klein is the dominant brand to the point where I’d say Ck boxer briefs are basically standard underwear for the 18-35 year olds. At the gym I’d say maybe half the guys in this age group wear them with the other half wearing either other brands eg Ralph Lauren or non branded. I only ever occasionally see briefs - I’d say less than 1% of underwear sightings. However I can’t ever remember seeing the traditional loose boxers on anybody recently.

Is there actually anywhere where briefs are the norm in this age group? Italy perhaps?
When I was in high school and college on the west coast of the US white briefs were dominant. A few guys had boxers and a very small number went commando. Judging by the sagging pants I see now it's colored/designer briefs and boxers.

Well, depends. Most of the exibitionists prefer to use boxer briefs to show their bulges, specially to attract girls and gay boys too. As for me, despite I'm not a boy anymore, briefs or boxers, it doesn't matter. As long it marks my cock bulge as well

In the UK, generally branded Boxer-Briefs / Trunks, such as from CK, and other similar brands, although you will see internet brands like from Step One, On That Ass (I had two pairs from here, no real pouch to speak of, they was crap!), Comfort Republic etc in the longer conforming Boxer style to be pretty common too.

Growing up in the 80's, I was Briefs till I hit my early teens, then went all out boxers till around my mid 30's.

For me being 47, I now stick to Briefs / Boxer-Briefs / Boxers / Trunks from Sunspel, H&M / Primark (These two, despite being at the cheap end, are surprisingly good, and certainly the Rick & Morty ones I have, all come from the same supplier, Difused), and Jockmail (For Jocks)
