The general population often fails in having the power to elect fair and noble leaders. Even in areas without voting irregularities, candidates are often selected by the wealthy few. We're left vainly trying to determine which is the lesser of evils.

Every generation, being raised with the beliefs of the time, are deluded. They've all tried being better. Looking through history, we can clearly see the misgivings. But in the mix, so to speak, it is less clear.
We have hope following generations will improve. And in some aspects, I am confident, they surely will; however, no generation is perfect. Must, as a people - as a species, continue trying.
