All of these copycat threads are about pride (at least in stated purpose), and that's fine, I guess, but the thread you're copying wasn't supposed to be about pride. It was supposed to be about what makes you culturally unique or identifiable.

So what makes Canadians Canadians? I usually think of friendly, easy-going people, too.

Oh NIC, don't be so down on this thread. There's no law saying they can't start a thread with whatever they want!

We love Canadians!

I wasn't trying to be down on it. Just seemed like a lot of people were missing the point of earllog's thread.

I love Canada... it's America's hat! So warm, and it protects us from the snow (mostly).

Also, all the Canadians I know are so prideful about their country. But not in a mean way, in a funny way.

Plus, who doesn't love real, fresh maple syrup? Seriously... it's one of the major things I miss about living in the New England.

As for what makes them unique... well, they have Quebec. :tounge-in-cheek:

My ancestors came to Canada in the late 1600's. And we've been here ever since.

What makes me Canadian, well, Not bragging after I've accomplished
something, being proud but not yelling it to the world,
never starting a fight, but always finishing it.
And of course, the following....

OMG! So getting something like that done!

I am American, but I ate at a Tim Horton's once. Does that qualify me?
Wow! most Americans haven't a clue what they are missing out on. I heart Timmy's!

My s/o has been in Canada THREE times this year, and he loves it. (He was just in Toronto)

I haven't been to Canada YET, but judging by the pics, someday I'd like to buy a second home on the coast of Vancouver Island and commute between Los Angeles, San Francisco and British Columbia.
