I like: Prodigy, Propellorheads, Orbital, Tricky, Chemical Brothers, Portishead, 808 State, Massive Attack, etc. mainly electronic music but I'll listen to nearly every other kind.
I cannot stand that "noise" they call improvised modern jazz!

Good music.

Which is well written, composed and/or sung.

This does not include the heavy metal/screamo/rap music that is common today. Rarely I will like a current song. Mostly I like older stuff or music by artists of today that aren't very well known but are doing their own thing and doing it well. My favourite is "The Artist." and also:

www.myspace.com/richiekotzen

NB: Richie plays all over the world. He isn't one of those bands that are just on the myspace bandwagon. He's also one of the greatest guitarists of his generation.

Aimee Mann
Alison Krauss
Amanda Marshall
Amy Sky
Anna Nalick
Avril Lavigne
Beth Orton
Chantal Kreviazuk
Dar Williams
Death Cab
Dixie Chicks
The Eels
Eminem
Emm Gryner
Evanescence
Happy Rhodes
Indigo Girls
Innocence Mission
Janis Ian

I can't handle anything like thrash, heavy metal, death metal, it just sounds like a cacophany.

My music library includes a little of everything from almost every genre. But there are two genres that top my list. I like hard rock and metal, both new and old school. Guns & Roses, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Ozzy, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Marylin Manson, & Godsmack are some of my favorites. But anything that's loud and head-banging works for me.

Then my other top favorite music is techno, especially eurodance, the kind that was popular in the 90's like Ace of Base, La Bouche, Eiffel 65, Mr. President, Basic Element, and a whole bunch of others.

i mostly listen to top40 stuff, rock, and heavy metal...but i also like r&b, rap, hip hop, classical, oldies, native american, arabic, some techno, country. i like a little bit of everything.

music = life

w/out it...i dunno what i'd do.

been listening to mudvayne a lot lately. rage against the machine. alice in chains. pantera. family force 5. pensive. john legend. dream theater. joe satriani. robin thicke. ida corr. katy perry. justin timberlake. ne-yo. rihanna. it all depends on whatever mood i'm in. there's always a song i can have someone listen to that describes what i feel or what i'm going through.
