Seize assets in America (real estate, factories, bank accounts) owned by China, Chinese companies and Chinese nationals. They would retaliate economically, and it might cause a recession. But better a recession than L.A. getting nuked.

Kim's dynasty survives solely on the propaganda of America's enmity to N Korea. The people have been told that the U.S. has wanted to invade and destroy them since the war. The Kim dynasty are loved because they are the only people standing between the people and destruction.

Re: Fire and Fury: Someone lifted a 1945 quote from former President Harry Truman and handed it to our rotund, militarily naive current President. It sounded neat, filled with doomsday hyperbole. And if it were delivered in a rich threatening baritone from a Texas oilman like Rex Tillerson the message probably would have been received better in North Korea. In Trump's weak high-pitched voice, looking down at his papers to remind himself of the exact phraseology, it came-off as simultaneously foolish and corny.

John McCain knows a thing or two about the state of our military readiness as well as the consequences of nuclear strikes on a country like North Korea and its immediate neighbor to the south. Any one of a dozen undesirable courses of action against the Asian Pillsbury Dough Boy would be better than an all-out attack. Perhaps one fine morning Kim's staff will go to his chambers to bow and greet their exalted leader and he will have mysteriously disappeared from planet Earth.?
