I've starting running on a home treadmill to get rid of my growing belly.
What's the most comfortable thing for a guy to wear?
No one will see me, so modesty isn't an issue.
Compression shorts, running tights, wrestling singlet, track speedsuit?
Something else I haven't thought of?
how much bounce is comfortable?
jockstraps look good, but to they kinda work like a junk bra?
kinda always thought they snugged up, but mostly kept a sports cup from flying out/shifting around.
Apart from the above and what your comfortable in and speed you are going. It also depends on the mood your in!?!
I find if I'm in a serious exercise mode, I'll make sure I've the 'big walloper' trussed up in between the two layers of my swimming trunks to reduce the movement.
If I'm feeling horny or Fiona is watching and she wants an eye full, I'll wear loose shorts to let it all bang about as I run!!!!!
But never out on it's own flapping about, far too sore afterwards!!
Performance fiber trunks or 3" UnderArmour boxerjock - something that wicks sweat and reduces the bouncing to a level you're comfortable with. I don't find doing anything but sprint-length running in running shorts all that comfortable without something underneath besides the little liner.
Nude or just a jock would be great if not for the chafing between the legs.
Maybe once the excess weight is gone.
Here's what I've tried the first three days.
1. Edge track suit. Comfortable for a first attempt.
2. Adidas response wrestling singlet. A little more support in the thighs.
3. Under Armour heat gear tights. Even more support, even in the calves.
Tomorrow I'll dig out some compression shorts. I'm able to stay at 6 mph for a few minutes at a time.
Thanks for the ideas, and keep 'em coming.
Definitely wear something to support your balls because like you said... the chaffing is gonna be a huge issue for at least the first month or so of exercising.
personally, underarmour or nikepro shorts are great.
