Since we are all advent readers ourselves, what interest of genre do you have in your amazing shelf at the moment?

The books in my sig - they are both against the "biology is destiny" concept of gender, as am I.

But mostly what I read (when I have time to read!) is science fiction, fantasy, mystery, travel books, and nonfiction about science and music.

I also have my tech books... now THOSE I really do need to read now, especially the ones for the certifications I'm about to be tested on soon!

Most of my books & magazines are actually computer, technology or music based. You'd think I would have a vault full of manga because of my avatar, but I actually don't care that much for comic books. Ironically, I have a couple of Bloom County, Boondocks and Calvin & Hobbes.

Most of mine are science fiction/fantasy but there are quite a few natural history books, crime and horror, stuff on self-sufficiency and know-how, cookery books, reference and a couple of biographies I keep meaning to read but haven't been in the mood for.

All sorts - car mags, newspapers, political non-fiction, erm...plus autobiographies (Winston Churchill) and some fiction - LOTR, Power of One, etc...

Oh, I like reference books too, like travel guides and atlases, lol.

Best piece of advice I have read:

"If a guy takes you home and he doesn't have books, don't fuck him."

For the record, I have books on art, art history, relationships, self-help, exercise and fitness, fiction, non-fiction, sexuality, queer theory, education, and statistics.

Non fiction. Books on unexplained disappearances and "mysteries", on literature, symbolism and some about dogs. History books.

    Manuals for various electrical goods.

The only fiction books I have are some which I had at school and forgot to return. Othello, Snow Falling On Cedars and The Shipping News. Othello is passable, I never liked the other two.
