It's no secret that tons of jerks have swarmed this place and it makes many of you here and anyone else with a healthy aversion to toxic behavior want to post less. A popular retort to this are replies like, "but you're on a big dick forum, why else are you here?" which carry implications that anyone who doesn't like their style of casting couch/creepy truckstop sex talk should leave.

This is interesting to me because the people saying it seem to care enough about women's perspective to not want that to happen (or they're...y'know... one of the incels here trying to will into existence a dead end subjectivities...but sometimes there's still enough civility that makes you want to give some users the benefit of the doubt), and the fact that several women users still post here of course speaks to a desire to keep using this forum as a sexual outlet of some sort (which I would think is obv the point of a forum like this)?

So I was hoping to use this thread to curate perspectives on topics, style of communication and a culture you might want to see here as opposed to the current one. Since LPSG has become increasingly sex negative, it doesn't take a genius to deduce that a more sex positive environment might be expected. How would that be for you? What attitudes do you wish more users in discussions here had? Questions you were asked? Standards expected of you and anyone you would be interested in talking to on a forum like this? What do you wish the vibe of this forum was like? Wants, expectations? etc.

TLDR: Didn't notice a thread like this yet, so wanted to make one for anyone here who felt like talking about what this site initially meant to them to make them post here, what they prefer it was like vs how it is now, and anything else you feel would make it less unsexy/uncomfortable for you

I appreciate that you notice what the lady folk deal with on the regular. That's a good start. Snaps to you.

I guess if there's a topic that I wish was discussed, I'd raise it. Beyond that, I just wish that menfolk would realize that we don't all think the same & we can't answer for their woman, and that a blunt response that doesn't answer the way they want us does not constitute a personal attack. That's what I find most tiresome. Maybe it happens in other areas of the forum that I don't visit and isn't specific to women, I dunno.

I have my moments.

Would you say a combination of ignorance and male fragility accurately describe the issues you notice here most w/ users you interact with?

Sorta. Generally, I find most of the men who visit WI and AaW to be pretty respectful and aware (love to y'all... ya know who ya are) and our interaction is pleasant. Is that what irritates me in this and the Women's Issues forum? Yep. You nailed it. Every one of the people who's on my ignore list has shown that combo and therefore gets no more interaction.

I'm not easily offended but some guys do ask some daft questions, however in general I'll give my input if I feel like it and if I think it can help someone, otherwise I'd just mostly scroll on.
Tbh considering the amount of members on this site there's very few questions posted, often when I check in nothing has changed.
Maybe sometimes people forget this is a worldwide site and get upset by attitudes of different cultures, this doesn't really bother me I try to look at the bigger picture and where people are from.
I see a lot of guys that are new or relatively new members get shot down for asking something that's been asked before, yet if they search for a particular topic and comment on it they get shot down for digging up an old thread, I don't get that!
If nobody asks anything and just uses the forum as a reference base then the forum would be dead, tbh I joined because my husband was a member and when I browsed his account I thought I'd like to get involved in the forums, WI and AAW in particular but as I've already pointed out considering the amount of members both forums are pretty inactive these days.
Sure nobody wants to answer the same question over and over but if it's not on the first couple of pages already in a particular forum I myself would ask whatever it was I wanted to ask, I wouldn't have the patience to go scrolling through pages of questions to see if it's already been asked so I can't imagine guys being bothered to do so.
If someone is deliberately repetitive or just asking stupid questions then scroll on, block them, whatever. I certainly don't see what could be changed, the only thing to me that would make it more interesting is that if people actually used the forum more!

Personally, I’d like to see more acceptance of the diversity of people that are here. As a mod I see the absolute worst that the site has to offer. The nastiness is incredible. I think one can express differing opinion without resorting to personal attacks. Women and trans people seem to get the brunt of overt/covert hate.

I think there’s room on this site for everyone. Different sections have different populations. But it’s like each segment thinks that their reason for being here is the reason everyone else is here. And anyone who doesn’t fit within their reasoning is worthless. Just be more accepting. Be a little more open to others. Show a little courtesy and respect.

Personally there are a couple of things that bug me in AaW. Obviously not enough to leave, but if someone could wave a magic wand:

1) the guys that don't really contribute to the forum beyond asking the names of porn stars in the video section and then post in AaW something along the lines of "do you shave your pubic hair?" It feels creepy and invasive and there is beavis and butthead laughter in my head when I read it. These types of questions/posters would vanish (I know that this is wishful thinking)

2) Questions would be open ended actual questions. Often there is a sneaky attempt to get the women to agree with the OP's stance by including a false premise in the question "it's well known that a big dick feels better, so given that, what's your favourite season?"

Oh and the guys that behave like absolute ass wipes to the women here, shit all over WI threads and then pop up when they want to ask a question, like nothing happened.

Are you asking what the site overall would be like?
Or specific subfora?

To start, a retiring of a lot of anti woman sentiment would be nice.
Here’s an example (That you are aware of)
Lpsg women.

Also, no more ignorant and long hijacks of threads in women’s issues, like TNJ’s pasties thread.
Go start a general oddities of the language thread somewhere else.
