Opinions on what you have personally found better and why?

Thanks.

I think it kind of depends on your situation. Viagra stays in your system and works for about four hours. Whereas Cialis keeps working for 24-36 hours. If you can time it right, Viagra is fine, but I prefer to take Cialis so I don't have to worry about timing. Hope this helps.

I like Cialis better, too, because it lasts longer and seems to works as well when needed. But it is more expensive, and unlike Mercke's Viagra, the Lilly company won't supply Cialis to me for free due to my low income, because I have insurance. Stingy little company.

Besides the time they have an effect as previously mentioned, Viagra gives you more "punch": a harder hard. Cialis feels a bit more like a "natural" hard.

Common side effects with Viagra: blurry vision, getting flushed, stuffy nose, headache

Common side effects with Cialis: getting flushed, stuffy nose, muscle aches--especially legs and back, especially if taken more than once every few days

Well I thought cialis would be peoples preference. I can get viagra and cialis privately but it costs a bomb. I was thinking you get a longer duration with cialis so you get a bit more for your money. They both work in the same way.

Another thought ALX. If you're getting them from your doctor, ask him for samples of Cialis, Viagra and also Levitra. You really need to try all three. My doctor was happy to supply them, even though his "staff" and almost depleted his supply (LOL). Your body (magnificent by the way) may react to one better than the other. I'm totally against buying generic anything, but you might consider that too if expense is a factor. Good luck!

Thanks for the input. Im not sure how the system works in the US, but in the UK you need an NHS prescription. This is not possible to obtain unless I have other medical issues, therefore I have to go private for a prescription. They don't just give you samples and let you pick what you want. Plus the cost would be alot.

I've been prescribed viagra but if I have good reason I may be able to get the doctor to change it to cialis.

Just Google the side effects of Viagra and tell your doctor you're having one or more of those. Or tell him/her that your schedule doesn't permit such accurate timing. I get tremendous headaches from any of them, but some say they don't get headaches from Cialis. You can by this stuff online from Canadian or Indian companies, but you're never sure of what you're getting. Do a search on LPSG for this. I think I saw some posts on the subject of online boner pills. Again, good luck.

In the UK, since 2009, you can get Viagra from the chemist without a prescription, although the cost is considerably more than the current prescription charge (£7.40).

Official Prescription Viagra UK Website

You can also get Viagra on prescription, if you are suffering from other specific conditions (eg. diabetes). Some conditions (eg. diabetes) will allow you to obtain a medical exemption certificate and card, so you don't even have to pay the prescription charge.

Yes without an NHS prescription, you still need a prescription which will be via a private doctor. So instead of paying the NHS price you'll be paying x10 that with your private prescription.

I have never taken either but lets say I was flying in to see my lover. How long after ingestion before cialis kicks in?

Thanks,

The meds work differently for different men. When I've used Cialis it took 2 hours for my penis to respond with an erection. Also, every time I've used Cialis I got a bad headache and an even worse backache. I've stopped using it.

When I use Viagra I get a penis response within 20 - 30 minutes. It lasts 4-5 hours for me. And the other benefit is I have no side effects. Due to the excessive cost of Pfizer's Viagra I have switched to generic viagra from a Canadian pharmacy and have gotten equally fast, hard results.

I have an issue where my body produces too many red blood cells so sometimes erections can be a problem. Cialis for daily use has worked really well resolving that. Viagra gave me a horrible migraine and wasn't worth a repeat, but Cialis at this dose doesn't give me any bad side effects.

I too have the same condition, polycythemia, and have always had great success with Viagra. Not so great success with Cialis or Levitra. Had an "in" in work and got all the v I wanted for nothing, but that well has seriously dried up. I can't even get samples from my PCP.

A few years ago I tried Viagra for recreation purposes and had intense heart palpitations and felt like my penis was going to explode. Came too fast too.
Tried Cialis soft tabs and they work for me in about 15 minutes and no negative side effects at all. Fun to use for insurance of a rock hard erection if I'm otherwise stressed.
