What's it with gay men who only do bi/straight.

Ofcourse everyone has their preference. But what is it with gay guys who only do bi or straight guys or strictly tops. Like a dick isn't a dick regardless of who it's attached to. Being immediately put off by the idea of someone being Vers is just odd to me.

I may be wrong but I'm thinking like with many things there may be some internalized homophobia. Where despite being a bottom themselves they see it as too gay and shameful. Combined with maybe some weird fetishes idk.

But even people with a fetish for straight men don't necessarily say no to other gay guys. What is the thing about exclusively wanting a guy that "actually likes women" as if they feel theyre in competition with women.

Idk what are y'all thoughts or experiences?

well I'm not sure how much personal experience I have with this, especially with the only going for straights and bi's, but my assumption in that sense is that it has to do with avoiding intimacy or a developing attachment. If they're going for straights or bi's only, then they can ensure that no attachment will develop and the connection will be solely sexual.

as far as bottoms avoiding vers guys, I have a little more experience with that, and I think it just boils down to the fantasy that the bottom wants. When I'm with a bottom, they generally pretend like I'm just their top, from the verbal they give and how they describe me, they've built me up in their heads as their fantasy top that uses them for my pleasure alone. They just sort of omit any signs that I might like to bottom too, I guess that turns them off or something. Like sometimes when I'll bring it up, they'll act like they forgot or something. On the rare chance that a bottom partner does validate the fact that I like bottoming also, that validation comes entirely as a form of charity and not in recognition that it's part of my sexual being.

I can understand having fantasies but still it's 2025 are we really at this state. Maybe I'm just missing something. But I always try to see what certain behaviours and ideals are rooted in.

I am only interested in tops; gay, straight or bi.

I enjoy being fucked so that’s what I do.

I think it's simply easier to be with someone who identifies as a top. When you go with a vers guy, they often want reciprocation. Or worse, when they see you are bigger than they are and they want to bottom instead.

The main reason why people avoid people who call themselves vers is that they are often actually bottoms trying to increase their chances of hooking up without any intention of topping.

So in part, the problem is those who wear the vers label rather than people who are actually vers.

I am 100% Vers. I could never wrap my head around limiting my sexual activities. At the end of the day everyone has their favorite activities. But why place limits on yourself? I personally find sex with strict bottoms and to a lesser extent strict tops, boring.

Yes, this proves my point exactly. You as a vers person would not be satisfied with a partner who just wants one role.

So those who are strictly one role are better off picking someone who is exclusively the opposite role, rather than a vers person with opinions like you have.

Not me, I can't stand bisexual men they ALWAYS go back to women. I consider it having their cake and eating it too, they want a nice normal heterosexual relationship, with marriage and kids and all that, and to just use men on the side up until then. If you only want sex then fine do whatever, but don't expect to EVER end up in an actual relationship with a bisexual man if you are a man.

Did you ask that in reverse? There are also gay men who will only date gay men. I don't think I've ever heard that asked.. No need to
Logic isn't some of y'all strong suit. Typically people date those with the same sexuality as themselves. But idk I may be wrong. I'm guessing all str8 women must be secretly married to gay men

I guess I stepped on some peoples toes because they only go after str8s.

If you ask a question, and hope to get answers, try asking it more neutrally. You've already labeled people like this as "odd" and accused them of "homophobia" in your question, so why would people want to open up to you? - if you think about it for a second.

The reality is, whether we like it or not, that most people are in opposite-sex relationships and society is more or less ordered around that, not to mention that if you want kids it's a hell of a lot easier that way. If I were even 10% into women I probably would have sought one out. I agree they're generally not "relationship material" for a gay guy for those reasons, but it's more about society than the individual guy being selfish(which does happen too).

I don't think this is actually a thing.
Unfortunately it’s a real thing. Even guys who only want to be with married men/ and other married men. And some that just want straight identified men. Maybe more in the suburbs and rural areas than in big cities but definitely a thing.

OP I argue most Gay men want nothing to do with Straight/Bi guys, and Gay men like me who are attracted to Straight guys and Bi guys, and disagree with the Bi guy hate a lot of Gave men have are rare. So it's all perception. So this thread irritates me and maybe you should take a look around at how the actual gay community works and yeah.

I went back to read the original post and here is what is said: "gay guys who only do bi or straight guys or strictly tops".
  1. The "gay guys who only do strictly tops" is real. There are 100% bottoms who would fit this category. 100% bottoms are boring as fuck in bed.
  2. The "gay guys who only do bi", I suppose. Never met a man that fits into this category though. I only had sex with a bi guy once. He had the biggest cock of any guy I slept with. Had a crush on another bi guy once but he was not into me.
  3. The "gay guys who only do straight guys", is not a thing. Because the vast majority of straight guys would not allow a gay guy to "do" them. I have never, in my decades of being out and meeting gay me, have met a guy who has a fetish for straight men. There might be some but it's likely a tiny number.

You speak in dramatic universals when you are just describing your opinions, perceptions and personal experience. You are not at the center of the world, Dana.

Yes you are correct sir. I did as was asked in the OP. This is from the original post: "dk what are y'all thoughts or experiences?"

"opinions, perceptions" = "thoughts"

I am sharing my "thoughts or experiences" the OP asked for.
