What's My Line?

When someone askes me what I do for a living and I tell them I'm in sales I get that look (o_o). Oh sales, like door to door? I try to explain what I do and the look gets more confusing. But in the end they say "oh I understand" knowing that they don't have a clue.

Do you have trouble getting people to understand your job, hobby, college degree....?

Most everything I've done has been pretty clear cut but some people sometimes don't understand when I tell them I do the same thing that Marni Nixon used to do. Marni Nixon on "To Tell the Truth" and I stlil dabble at lawyering in my spare time.

You should take pride in doing something with your life that other people can't begin to comprehend. At least that's what I do...

To me, it's simple. But a guy we hired a few months ago said he's still trying to explain it to his parents.

I have 5 essential duties that only I do in this position and they are all different. Even I'm confused at times but I see it as all the fucking crap that no one else wants to do in the fiscal dept. My official title is Accounting Specialist I. I don't even have a degree for accounting so how can I be a specialist?! My education plan even gets people ~ majoring in business with a minor in psychology. Yes I'm a very confusing soul. LOL :wink:
