Yeah, I cancelled my sbc/yahoo internet service because of customer service being outsourced to India- I can&#39;t understand their accents either.

"Dances..." was still a putridly sentimental movie with unremarkable acting, boo-hiss @ Kevin Costner.

It&#39;s for the cheap labour but they&#39;re actually then providing a poorer service to customers since it&#39;s harder to understand them and sometimes that language barrier is hard to get over. If you stopped using these firms&#39; products/services they might get the idea...

Yeah, I don&#39;t mind so much that they send these jobs to India -- well, actually, I do mind; an economy with no jobs is like perpetual motion -- but I do mind that they picked a province with such thick accents which become even more unintelligible over the phone.

As for Costner, this was probably where I was convinced the Academy was a bunch of idiots; how could they give this kind of movie 7 Oscars? I think there was like one Lakota on the whole set, and all the Indians had very background roles; they even wrote it so that he&#39;d marry a white woman. (And Lakota marriages aren&#39;t quite as they described. A Lakota wedding was a very unceremonious affair; exchange some gifts, recite your genealogy to prove that you can marry, go on vacation for a couple days, move in with her.)
