Best thing for ingrown hairs isn't the methods used to remove the hair but the after care which is regular exfoliation. Won't "cure" it completely, but will most definately help minimize the apperance. With most all hair removal you will encounter ingrown hairs. I'm talking about shaving, electrolysis, waxing, or using depilatory creams. Since the skin around the pubic area is quite sensitive I would recommend finding an ingrown hair spray that contains salicylic acid. I use a product called ingrown-X-it by LYCON spa. Does the job without me worrying about over exfoliating with exfoliating mitts. If a spray doesn't appeal to you, you can use exfoliating mitts gently down there before you head in the shower (so like a dry skin rub), then after 5 mins in your hot shower use the exfoliating mitts with a mild soap. Keep it up and watch your ingrowns minimize.
