A socialist learns from their mistakes.

You have made the mistake of mixing a singular noun with the plural possessive their. Make sure that you don't make the additional mistake of voting for McCain.:biggrin1:

A socialist learns from their mistakes.

I think you are mistaking the word democrat for the word capitalist.

Clinton proved that a democrat can learn form their mistakes by cutting the size of the Federal government, cutting welfare, and balancing the budget.

So what has a republican learned from 10 years of mistakes?

That de-regulation is disasterous? Well they didn't learn it in 1929- didn't learn it when the S&L bailout happened... didn't learn it when Enron raped California for 30 billion... didn't learn it when the car industry had to be bailed out... didn't learn it when jobs started evaporating from offshoring... didn't learn it from the massive collapse of the mortgage and insurance industries...

well- nope-
What they DID learn was how GREAT socialism can be... Their friends KEEP the profits they made from a fraudulent economy... and WE get to pay off the debts...

Unlike real socialism... we donlt actually GET anything for that money... Real socialism would mean we pay more money, IN RETURN FOR, say, health insurance of an interstate highway system.

The actions of the Bush administration have been the most sweeping socialist reforms since the New Deal, but not even FDR nationalised the Banks.

But the republicans only socialize debt...

Wow-- they can't help but bee greedy fucks EVEN when they are pushing socialist reforms, can they?

Congratulations America- we ALL get to pay for a socialist reform that does not give the people a THING.

Republicans can EVEN fuck up socialism...

Of course- SOME rebublicans can learn...
Colin Powell learned that being republican, today, is equivalent to being fascist.

Even Greenspan seems able to learn that the free market theories were deeply flawed; rendered unworkable by de-regulation.

But then, those two are among the vanishingly small number of republicans that are actually smart, and honest.

The rest of you... doomed to be ignorant, wrong, and just laughably intractable... unable to recognize your own errors, unable to accept change.

Whilst Jefferson was a big fan of Hobbes and Locke, the US constitution still places the rights of the idividual above that of the State. As such, the tradition is for the defense of individual democratic rights as opposed to the central administration of society.

:lmao: Now that's funny!
It also explains all that toe tapping in airport bathrooms.

You've heard that the Republicans came up with Joe the Plumber so they'd have one person who could be around toilets without a scandal?
