For you ladies who get more excited about handbags than you do over guys posting pics of their ding dongs (which might be most :biggrin1:) ... what's the hot handbag this year/season?

Santa's looking for something for Mrs. Claus. Thx.

Toxin you cracked me up with that. =P

I think the last bag I bought was from Nordstrom and I'm too lazy at the moment to go dig it out and see what brand it was. The bag I carry most these days is a small black backpack I use to haul around my stuff here at college. Forget fashion I'm all about function.

Personally, I'm a fan of glove leather bags. It really kind of depends on her style/personality. I love Michael Kors bags but I would personally never choose the one above. This website is loaded with gorgeous bags that people very lightly use and sell for a fraction of the retail price. If nothing else, there are plenty of good ideas of what's "in".

Oh, also... TJ Maxx and Marshalls sell designer bags at greatly reduced prices, as well... but they definitely wont be the "it" bag of the moment. There's really no way to avoid paying out the arse for that.

I'm glad it was amusing. This is my current bag/purse/thing. I added the pink skull 'n crossbone patch after. It has a super long strap on it so I can just drape it across the front of my body meaning I have access to both hands at any given time because I don't have to keep hoisting it back on my shoulder.

I don't know how much money you are willing to invest, cause handbags/purses can get very pricey.
I try to buy some that are not too expensive but not that cheap either.
" of the last ones I bought are from Paris Hilton's collection. Yeah, I hate that chick with a passion, but the handbags were hot. They are named Moxie. I have the burgundy and the black one.
Then I bought 2 from La Bagagerie. Not sure if they sell those in the US. All of them were between 100 and 200 Dollars.
Here is the Paris Hilton one in black:

I try to wear a purse/handbag as accessoire. When I wear y brown or black jacket, dark pants and maybe brown or black shoes, I try to pick a colourful handbag. Like red or burgundy or even pink.

But I mean I don't know what colours or styles your wife likes, so maybe take her shopping, set a limit and she can pick one herself?

I just talked to my Mom about this the other day. She asked me if I noticed her new handbag when she was over on Sunday and if I liked it. I told her it looked nice, but was not my style. I like more solid ones and she prefers the softer ones.
I would never pick something like a handbag or shoes for another person, cause they might end up hating what I picked.

Here's the newest from Michael Kors, he's my favorite handbag designer..

MICHAEL Michael Kors Large Bedford Ostrich-Embossed Dressy Tote - Michael Kors

*shudders* That is bubble gum pink and looks wayyyy to errr... pink? and frou-frou for me. It would be very cute with the right lady. I'm sure Mrs. Panda looks great carrying such bags!

Must have pink skull and cross bone patch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OP, I have to agree with Snarky. I'm a Ross, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, person when I HAVE to buy a bag. Honestly, I hate purses, I always put a bunch of crap in them that I don't need to carry around and I can never find anything in the darn things. Plus major creepo robber target. I normally carry a little change bag that I can fit a few things in and sort of stuff in my pockets. Buying a bag for your Mrs. is really going to depend on your Mrs. I say sneak in her closet if she keeps her bags and read the labels and look at the bags to point you in the right direction. I wouldn't carry any of the bags pictured in this thread... your wife might not either.

I appreciate the replies ladies. The Mrs. is all over the place with handbags. She has a collection of high end bags, but carries more modest stuff too. The Kors bag posted first comes in orange ... that might be a candidate.
