When does something 'cross' the line between straight and gay?

Ditto to your sigh. A lot of times those hot tub incidents had a helping of alcohol to go with them. Or, it's the comfort of being around people you know and trust. Stop assigning a sexual energy to something that is not there.

Now, the wanking and buddy blowjob business is all yours to analyse OP!

Sigh...........................

I'm not trying to start stuff here, but it really seems to me that the percentager's make it very difficult for anyone to assert any type of masculinity. It's logical to the common person that two dicks rubbing together is kinda gay (or g0y, if you are into that).

You may hate labels, you may hate being identified as liking one thing or another, but don't throw shade on people who prefer those things.

Percentager's? What does this mean?

Obviously, two dicks rubbing against each other is a gay (or g0y) act. This is entirely besides the point.

I may hate labels...? Now you are putting words in my mouth.

Did you read my lengthy post by the way? I talk about self-identity in it.

I don't think anyone needs anyone else to determine what crosses the gay/straight line for them. You know yourself what gets your juices flowing.

A hard dick has no conscience.

Despite what many need to think, there is no line. Sexuality is a continuum, not a dichotomy. The idea that one is either "straight" or "gay", hetero/homo is a fairly recent invention stemming from 19th century Victorian middle-class morality, subsequently imposed by that class's social hegemony and power. It's been promoted and imposed by a wide array of interests ranging from pre-World War II medical "experts" looking to stigmatize same-sex desire to contemporary "gay" activists pursuing their own identity politics and who need it to build their so-called "gay community". It high-time that such nonsense be abandoned.

all this revolves around labels, i'm gay but that isn't what i am, it's something thats a part of me-not all of me.
if a guy does something with a guy it doesn't mean he's gay, it means he was with someone he liked/trusted and had fun.
most gay guys have been with women in some way-does that make them straight?

I agree with a lot of you guys in saying that it is a matter of "Labels". People shouldn't label anyone as far as I'm concerned. Another big factor involved is the "perspective" of the people involved. I'm on the gay side of the equation, so a lot of things guys do "turn me on".

So something I might consider hot or sexy may not even be intended as such. Here's a couple of examples; Say two guys are sleeping in bed together in their underwear. I'd think it was incredably sexy from my "perspective", being turned-on by guys. I DO NOT necessarily consider it a GAY thing to do and I can imagine two straight guys doing that without labeling it as anything.
Two guys sleeping in the same bed Nude is another matter. Unless they are in danger of hypothermia and need each other's body heat to survive, I'd think it was gay.

hhhmmm...intriguing. I will import this into my philosophy and scientific construction of sexuality and note it's effects. I must thank thee--the results may be astounding!

Can I just say how excited I am about reaching page number four of this thread? It will be much easier to ignore a certain poster's existence once we do so.

You can call yourself straight if you do all manner of same-sex activities. But you'll confuse the hell out of almost everyone else.

The reasoning for the existence and use of labels is more complicated than people would like to think. It has to do with how psychology interacts with sociology when pertaining to homo sapiens. Interesting topic really.

Much confusion will run through peoples' heads yes. Much anger too. The general public becomes pissed at the pebble facing in the "wrong" direction, especially when the herd is racing head first into a stampede. Go figure.

Wow, I just thought this might be an interesting subject to discuss. I didn't know some people have really deep feelings about this. AND, I did not want to stir up a bunch of controversy.

Now, with all that said, I'm sure that labels, individual perception and cultural factors all play into this.....I know some guys from other cultures are much more 'free' about being close to other guys and behavior we'd consider 'crossing the line' is more normal there.

Sorry I missed this. I was using your comment as a stepping stone to a trend I notice here.

Percentagers are people have some relatively high percentage of gay as listed on LPSG. 40+

What you're saying is the comments weren't meant for me, but a specific population of the LPSG community?
