I voted for "around my waist", from a female POV. It's where I like to put my legs: Around the man's waist. I like keeping him in close combat range, and also to spur him with my heels on his ass. Hardly any position is so good holds as many positions for variety as missionary does. You can reverse the order of up and down, do it with the guy kneeling between your thighs while you are pushed up on your elbows and feet, or do it as you hang from a guy who is in a four-point stance.
