This is one of my biggest fears - having naked pictures of myself somehow finding their way to work - a big disincentive of putting on-line naked photos even in disguise or head cropped out.

Surely it has happened to some of you or you may have seen compromising naked photos of people you work with. Embarrassing to say the least but what are the consequences?

How adversely has or would it affect you if these kinds of photos were made public at work or to your clients?

why would u be embarassed?

there isn't any part of my body i'd be embarassed about if anybody saw it, even if it was the pope. god brought me into this world naked, and i'm sure he wouldn't be offended, so why should i worry about fellow sinner's judgements?

i don't know for sure if any clients have seen naked pics of me, but i have had people i've done work for, say "do i know u from somewhere else?" and then kinda dismiss it and say "no i don't think so , u just remind me of someone else i know" and i sometimes suspect that maybe they have seen a pic of me somewhere and they don't want to make an awkward scene or afraid they'd embarass me or themselves. but i'm ok with that, in a few cases i think it actually padded my resume for me. and several coworkers have seen me naked in person so seeing a pic of me wouldn't suprise them.

i guess if i were a bible salesman it would be different, but in my job, i have my shirt off alot anyway. and if people like what they see and wanna look, i'd take it as a compliment.

I suppose for exhibitionist they have no qualms on who sees them naked. I wonder though why no face shots in most all of the profile photos here then?

That's why I never put any on the internet. Sometimes when things seem like a bad idea I react appropriately.

i think u answered ur own question. if u just put a pic of ur dik on here how would co workers or the public know it was YOUR dik?

unless the pic includes other body parts that u regularly expose to the public and there's an identifying mark like a tatt.

that's not u in ur avatar?

and some of the best times i ever have in my life happen when I've actually said to myself "this seems like a really bad idea" and i went ahead and did it anyway.

A few observations:

I think you're worrying about something that has increasingly little impact in the world. There are so many nude pictures of so many people out there that it's becoming unusual for young people not to have at least one nude pic floating around the internet. You're not in a field where conservative Judeo-Christian personal values are necessary so I wouldn't worry about it at all. I tend to think that as people trend to putting nude pics of themselves out on the internet that Americans might finally begin to loosen their ridiculous obsession with nudity.

I also think that anyone who has seen your nude pics won't give a damn. Think of the venues where you might post them and then consider that for someone to admit they've seen your nudes, they have to admit they were looking for them. Your pics aren't going to just pop-up on CNN's homepage one morning. If someone says they've seen you nude, well then take it as a compliment and maybe even a come-on. If someone has the nerve to circulate your nudes around the office, that is fertile ground for a sexual harassment suit.

Regardless of what you look like, think about what Thadjock said. You're a man, you've got genitals. Of course you have a penis and testicles; those are what make you a man and gender is one of the few things the English language is very insistent upon. The very first thing someone does when they meet or talk to someone else is determine what sex that person is. It's not as though people don't know what you have under your trousers so what difference does it make? Muriel in accounting saw your penis! Horrors! BFD, Earl, BFD. Anyone who would purposely try to embarrass you is an asshole and the onus is upon that person. You can't be embarrassed unless you allow yourself to be.

I've run into one guy online who worked where I did at Time Warner who had nudes posted. I didn't know who he was until we chatted. The guy is really hung, nice, and has nothing to be embarrassed about. It didn't occur to me to circulate his nudes at work because it's no big deal to me and it had nothing to do with work. I suspect that's the case with most people.

No matter who you are or what you look like, there you are and whether people you know see you nude or not, it's ultimately not a big deal. We're all nude underneath clothing and like I said, what else did they expect to find?

Personally, I think you have absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. Anyone who knows you well enough as coworker might knows the kind of man you are and wouldn't do these things to you. It takes a real sociopath to want to hurt a good person.

Shaddap.

I have a crush on your ass.

my ass said it wants to crush ur......

Hahaha!!! That was the best response ever, Thad.

To the point, if you don't feel comfortable showing your ween on the screen then don't.

It may be, as Jason mentioned, that the likliness of someone having nude pictures on the internet is great, that doesn't mean you have to just put it out there for shit's sake.

I can empathize with you on someone seeing your pics that you wouldn't want to because that happened to me...with my parents being the witnesses. Not good.

I don't think there's anything morally wrong about nudity. I actually think I look OK naked but it is just the context in which it is viewed or presented that poses a problem for me mostly because of morals and what is considered appropriate and proper. I don't think I'd have a problem with people seeing me naked in a painting or photograph in a gallery or museum but seeing me naked on a sleazy porno site is another matter. It sounds prudish I know. There is a time and place for everything but not naked pictures at work.

If anyone wants to see my naked pictures, they'd have to be on here to see them....

and if anyone from my work is on here, there would be a greater issue than my nude shots. Also, I'm pretty much the only active member in my entire state.

So are you telling me I should take down my earllogjam screensaver at work?

I thought I saw Joe Biden here.
