  • Non Bone-pressed erect length (NBPEL)

just wanted to know which you (personally, not studies) use when stating or telling someone your length and why you use that particular one (nbpel or bpel)

None bone pressed. I don't exactly get girls pushing it all in there and pressing themselves against my bones. For me, none bone pressed is your actual useful length.

For me its NBPEL. Theres no point for me to use BPEL, i never insert all of my dick inside a pussy anyway. Plus NBPEL is what other people see when they look at ur dick or pics. We cant tell how much fat pad u have by just looking at ur dick, so claiming BPEL when we only see ur NBPEL dont be suprised when we call bullshit.

Always bone pressed, to avoid the influence of that fat pad.

It only takes the slightest bit of pressure to insert more than you can see with my fat pad. It like moves out of the way... so BPEL makes the most sense to me. I think it is a better measurement because weight fluctuates, and so do fat pads. The trick is knowing when everyone is BPEL that you will get differences penetration amounts; and accepting that variation.

But consider a fat pad doesn't make your dick shorter, it just makes it look that way.

Quite correct. So that's the reason why everyone should be measured bone pressed. It's not about what the eye can see, but about the actual length.

I'm 5. Ft 10 184. I'm planning to get back to 170 by summer. Does this mean my cock is going to grow a half inch? Of course not. My fat pad is pillow soft btw, and I can easily get my whole length in when there's pelvis to pelvis contact

If people say to me you have big feet what size shoe do you wear I dont say size 13 but if you want to include my toes a 15..... I say 13. My lady and I do go bone to bone. has it taken time to achieve, yes. Was every woman that I had sex with able to accomodate ALL of me, no. Does that mean that everything they werent able to take isnt counted? Of course not. The theory of no ones begging me to go bone deep or because you may switch partners regularly and you dont spend the time to get the accomodation doesnt mean it cant be done and shouldnt be counted, or just because YOUR partner physically cant or wont do it doesnt mean that what hides beneath that fat pad isnt a part of your member ... just my .2

You mean, you say "15" right?

I think one of the reasons BP measurements are so misunderstood is that you occasionally see questionable looking measurement pictures where there looks to be an invisible inch or two and the guy doesn't even look all that overweight (though I know you can still have a thick fat pad and not be). My *guess* would be that when studies are done, it's moderately light pressure. Mine takes very little to get from the NBP to the BP, but it's not all that much range anyhow, and if I push my pubes back, I can probably still see the start of the ruler.

Also the problem with bonepressing is that people misrepresent themselves by stabbing their guts with the ruler to or jam it under the pubic bone to get a bigger measurement that a "correct BPEL" would give. Now im not saying NBPEL is perfect but with that u can easily tell when someone is not starting at the base.

This is true - I've seen plenty of people who claim that the correct measurement actually starts 2" above the base of your penis, which is ridiculous to anyone who knows what a hypotenuse is.

The correct starting point is the pubic symphysis ( Pubic symphysis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) which, if you're actually measuring from, doesn't let you cheat.
NBPEL is incredibly problematic, since even the same dick measured by two different people will get a significantly different measurement. It won't turn a 5" dick in to a 9", but 0.5"+ is common, which makes it useless for comparison. Truth is, there isn't a hard line tattooed on the base of our dicks we can all measure from without bone pressing. Upcurved and hairy dicks will get a shorter measurement, and downcurved smooth dicks are longer.
Even fatpad isn't that consistently tied to weight. I'm in good shape but easily lose over 0.5" from fat.

This study in Brasil ( Jornal de Pediatria - Penile anthropometry in Brazilian child and adolescent ) concluded that only bone-pressed measurements were reliable as inter-observer variation was too great otherwise.

I did do a NBPFSL once (http://www.lpsg.com/members/shannonh/albums/poor+quality+photos!/611851-here-im-trying-to-do.html ), primarily just to compare against the Ponchietti study. I have a lot more confidence in the Brasilian study simply because I know we were both measuring the same way.

I'd say bone-pressed matters the most as a measurement, simply because that's the only time a numeric measurement is valuable at all. If it's non-bp, because you care about apparent size, then what good is a number to you? That's a completely aesthetic evaluation. James Deen may be ~7"( http://www.lpsg.com/attachments/98061d1277999517-measured-porn-stars-0981-jpg ) but he's got a great looking dick and certainly works it well. Most big-dick-fans would prefer him to one of the many malformed, liver-spotted 8"ers out there.

bpel should only be used for those who practice penis enlargement, for there records of true gains ...not for posting on message boards it is misleading and confusing..example one guy says he's 8 inch long but in reality he has only a 6 3/4 incher of usable dick..everybody believes he's 8...I always post my size as such 7 inch nbpel

I think that Bone Pressed Measurements are more about the male ego (Ooooo, my penis is 8" bone pressed measurement), than actual fact.

As the receiver of the big cock (or the over-exaggerated cock, which totally fucking pisses me off), I think that the Non Bone Pressed Measurement is the most accurate.

And the most famous argument is, "well, the fat pad moves while I'm thrusting".

Moves against what? The soft flesh of a woman's outer labia? Or the soft tissues of her ass if you're doggie style?

NO!!!

Again, Bone Pressed Measurements are a lie that are more about the ego.

Non-bone pressed.

I like to use it as motivation to stay in shape, the threat of a shrinking penis as the waistline grows has been effective.

I don't really get bp measurements, no one would be impressed, and functionally nothing has changed. The human body isn't a balloon, you cannot squeeze fatty tissues from an area, so that fat pad is there to stay.

I use non-bone pressed. If you're not overweight, using bone-pressed just seems like cheating to add inches.
