When you see a guy walking around in a kilt unexpectedly but casually (shopping, street fair, etc) do you:
A. tend to prejudge his sexuality (try to determine gay/straight or bi) or
B. judge his sexiness no differently than if a dude is wearing pants?

OR

C. Does the lure of the garment get you thinking differently- even if you dont normally mentally think of a guy in this way? Is this too irregular?

Thanks for the reply, it is appreciated. I'm really hoping to hear from all my buddies who follow me... as i am wondering how i am being percieved by the average joe when i am out and about.

I am certainly going to confidently do my own thing regardless of the responses, but i'd still like to have maybe a hint of what others are thinking. I know i usually get between 3-5 compliments from strangers when i wear them, so if that is just the folks who are willing to compliment a stranger i know there are others who are thinking it but not saying anything. Probably others out there who are thinking something very different...

I don't care if a man wears a kilt. About the worst thing I might think is they may be a bit "try hard" as far as wanting to be edgy or trendy. It doesn't make me think anything about his orientation, I don't view them as extra sexy or extra unsexy, and there's no special "lure" at all for me.

Most people wear their clothes to extended personality and pride- otherwise we would all wear gray utilitarian uniforms for warmth and protection. If I see something ridiculous (man in a bear suit grocery shopping) I would walk away quickly, but unusual clothing choices, especially if they are detailed, attractively assembled, bright and colorful, etc shows creativity and spirit. Unless one works at an amusement park or in a theatre, the daily routine is basically lacking this type of pageantry. Why not acknowledge it and enjoy it as a little free decoration for life?

If I notice a man (or a woman) or even a family that is attractive, I will long glance (polite stare with a smile that gives my approval) and often compliment a great dress, a cool beard, or a bangin pair of shoes. This gives a chance to look for other social cues about the person I admire- but I don’t think that wearing any type of clothing represents sexuality, with the exception of maybe a tee shirt that is emblazoned with a rainbow unicorn, or a sexy callout like one I saw recently: “Hold my bike while I ride your girlfriend.” Really.

In kilt situations, usually the tartan will be colorful and interesting, and more often than not the man’s self-confidence to wear native dress will make him that much more attractive beyond his natural masculinity. And because I’m a regular kilt wearer myself, I know he’s probably regimental to regulate heat- like more than half of the guys wearing jeans around me who are freeballing.
