Depends on what it is and the circumstances.

I'll check frequently if it's a gift that needs to arrive by a certain date and I've ordered later than I should, or if it's an urgently needed repair item (...had to wait extra long on replacement parts for a pricey faucet, that the maker sent separately instead of both at once).

Otherwise, once I get the order and shipping confirmation I forget about it until it arrives.

I've had to give up worrying about that stuff. Since I moved to Bumfucknowhere, we're apparently not counted as part of Australia. The premium overnight delivery service for all other major cities becomes 4-25 days for my town (I wish I was kidding). I've received parcels from Canada, the US, China and Germany in less time, both postal and courier freight companies. We don't even get the weekend edition of the national newspaper until 3pm Saturday.
