Where are you from?

Finnmark: Thanks, Gigant, point taken! The odd thing is, those very thoughts were going through my mind as I sent off the post. Because I very much value the 'friendship & chat' aspect of the group as you and many others clearly do.

I suppose it teaches me not to attempt to communicate fairly and intelligently on a day which has been stressful and a bit mind-numbing!

Ah well ...!!

But you also have to remember, this is a chat community, and people also come here because they like to post and be entertained.  This website isn't only a dry session with a sex therapist, it's also a place for friends to chat and have fun.  [/quote]

Well said, Gig! That's one of the things I value most about this place. The friendships and camederie. When I first started posting here I never imagined I would make friends, or even meet so many people I like so much, or even in some cases, admire.

Although, you're right Finnmark, this thread is all over the place. :D But, in context, since this is a light-hearted, getting to know each other conversation, it seems okay to me. If it was a post of somebody asking for help or advice with his prostate cancer, or someone who had just started going out with a large man and had some questions, then people would, I'm sure, stay as on topic as possible.

Oh, and welcome aboard hngblckmn! Good to see a new member to our urbane European contigent!

Sorry, I'm a bit late with this, but why do you think she's a bitch DMW?

Picture the scene: a 68 year old actress wearing an illusion net gown more transparent than anything Bob Mackie ever designed for Cher, revealing cleavage that was a mass of wrinkles and nipples that were almost level with her navel ... and she even rouged her nipples! A blonde wig more immense than Dolly Parton's most delirious illusions of how big hair can be. More makeup than the average Ringling Brothers clown. And bitching the whole while about how people were staring at her because they were star-struck. We weren't staring because she was Brigitte Bardot; we were wondering who this aged escapee from a circus brothel was. I had to ask around in order to learn that she was indeed La Bardot. During the night I observed her snubbing fans, refusing autographs and photos because she wanted to be 'inconspicuous'. Well, she ruled out that possibility when she decked herself like one of John Waters's visions. She was very visible and very rude the night much cash slipped through my fingers in Monte Carlo. Quelle vache, indeed!

Finnmark: Yes, welcome too, hbm!
I can almost see you from Norfolk, UK - just 'over the water' (the North Sea, that is).

And I like the "urbane European contingent" idea ... !

longtimelurker: Hmm... 'Urbane?' - methinks you need to meet some Essex girls at the end of a night out! :)

headbang8: I was born in Pittsburgh, in the good ol' USA. When I was a teenager, the family moved to Adelaide, in southern Australia. I now live in the centre of Tokyo.

I marked "Australia/New Zealand", because in my heart of hearts, that's home.
