Where do guys who are uncomfortable with the gay scene meet other guys to play?

Any Bi guys out there that can fill us in? I'd like to teach some Bi-Curious dudes a thing or two but have a hard time finding them.

Well, that's the Catch-22 for blue collar gay guys, and others who are not really into gay bars and twinkies... The gay scene is, by definition, where the gay men are. There are plenty of bi, bi-curious, and inexperienced gay men who are "vaguely" looking, but you are unlikely to find them except by chance.

There are some places, however, where men interested in meeting men congregate who are less traditionally out. There are quite a few bear gatherings for those who like that. In New York there are a host of volunteer agencies that all sorts of men work for, but I notice their motive is not always entirely altruistic. Perhaps there are some in your area, also. And, though I hesitate to mention it 'cause it is quite controversial, there are gay men's church groups associated with the Episcopal ( for the untortured) and Catholic (for the tortured ) Churches and several other mainline Christian and reformed Jewish congregations. If you are religious, those can be good options, but they are not worth your time if you are not.

All in all, however, because it is the only place that the curious know about, the gay scene is where beginners congregate. If you want the folks who are less into it, look around the edges.

Well, one of the places is the steam room at the gym, but for goodness sakes don't tell the youngish ones that; they're so modest and shy and don't want a guy looking at them at the GYM, for God's sake!!!!

A lot of bi-curious guys have met a lot of guys at gyms over the years. It's a safe, non-threatening environment.

Every one keeps talking about these gyms and steam rooms. . . Do I just live in a tight ass city or are our gyms too good for nudity? Every Gym in Ormond Beach is too small to have a large locker room and even our Y is all about privacy. I would love to meet some one. I am bi-curious and am very willing to try all sorts of things, just can never find some one to experiment with.

I haven't been on lpsg for very long but I think you could find guys right here who you could at least communicate with for starters.

Oh, this is easy. I'll go and find a gay friendly church with a steamroom and expose myself.

I think you find them where straight guys hang out, bowling alleys, bars, racetracks, casinos...etc. The tough part is how to connect with these guys without making them feel uncomfortable. Any bi-guy have any experience with this?

I know this is not what you want to hear, Earl, but I still think you got the problem that you want it both ways. You want to find homosexuals who aren't gay, and you want to find them where straight men spend their time. Bi-men are there, it's true, but when they're in those places, they are mostly in their str8 persona.

Sooner or later, you are going to have to give over to the idea that to find homosexuals you are going to have to compromise your stance a little...

As a bi guy there are a few places, either on line, porn cinema (we have a great one where anything goes and as i like being watched it's great) or I use a gay sauna. We aren't that hard to find.

This is a huge problem for me. So much so that I've given up. My gym is great! Family-friendly, and there's a nice locker room & shower. That nobody ever uses but me, and really, I stink after working out & just wanna shower & go on with the day.

I think there are a lot more guys than I used to believe, who are in fact bi-curious, at least. How do we contact them? Mental telepathy, perhaps?:biggrin1:

I think Doc gave the best advice...but honestly with my experience with Bi-men, it's hit and miss and it's usually in venues with their wives or girlfriends and then discretely meeting later.

So far, cross my fingers, I have found great guys without making those compromises of diving headlong into the "gay" world. I have struck up relationships with some guys I have, for lack of a better term, seduced. One a mechanical contractor who was doing some maintenance on the building I used to work at and a cattle rancher who was at a football game.

I always thought bi-curious guys who identify as "straight" would be reluctant to go to any gay sauna or gay porno theater to experiment simply because of the stigma.

Are bi-guys always attracted to each sex equally, all the time? If not what sways your attraction from one sex to the other?

I can see how gloryholes would be an outlet for bi-curious guys because it involves no touching or kissing and purely a way to get off if you are suffering from acute horniness or blue balls.

It involves being at the right place at the right moment and when a guy is open to experiment. I'd say hit and miss is an understatement. I think there are certain conditions and places where you are more likely to hook up - places where horny straight men go alone - strip clubs, arcades, porno theaters, adult book stores, bars at hotels, gyms all seem to be opportunites. I bet many masseurs get a lot of these bi-curious guys as clients also.

I'm not sure how bi-curious guys actually choose who they experiment with. Something tells me they really don't care what you look like as long as you are straight acting/looking, disease free, and discreet.
