What good solutions do you have for having your toys and sex stuff handy and readily accessible, but also inaccessible by children, housekeeper, guests, etc? Bedroom drawers don't usually have locks. It's a major buzz kill to have to "undig" this kind of stuff once we're "in the mood"

Try a locked file cabinet.

I once had a regular playmate who had an entire toy closet, which had a lock, though I doubt he used it much unless his family was in town (he lived alone in a Miami High-rise).

I actually keep most of my naughty clothes and shoes and toys all in a big tupperware container in the back of my closet. I have so many containers in there with paint and craft stuff that no one would ever go there but me.

If you have kids though, I agree with Bbucko, a locked filing cabinet or desk drawer would be the key place. When I was a kid I found every hiding place my parents could have for stuff unless it was locked. And if I found keys I tried them in the locks. Yes I was a bad child!!!

ROFLMAO :biggrin1:

When we were kids my brother apparently picked the lock on my dad's box of porn. Of course I didn't find out until my mum told me when I was all grown up.

I just keep my toys in my bottom drawer and in a bag under my bed. But then, I don't have kids or a housekeeper. Our family has strict rules regarding privacy so they would never go in my room at all (do not enter at all unless invited, do not open the door unless you've knocked and the person has said come in).

The exception to the knocking and invitation rule is my sister's room. She's never been private with her room. She often leaves the door open, and doesn't care if people go in there, even without asking. Recently this backfired a bit though. When we had just had the extension built on our house my dad loved showing it off to visitors. One day he opened the door to my sister's room, and sitting on her bed was her (thankfully small) toy collection. My dad was a little more careful after that. :biggrin1:

Paper porn at the bottom of the magazine rack. DVD's in the same cabinet as the mainstream. Lube, condoms, hand cuffs, chains, whips etc in the bottom drawer of the night stand.

Well it's only me in the flat here, but I still keep the few bongo mags I've got under a chest of draws, just in case anyone's round and decides to have a hunt about.

It's weird, because I'm more brazen about my electronic porn. D:\porn, is where that 'hides'. :biggrin1:

If you don't want a big file cabinet, you can buy a small-to-medium sized lockboxes at Walmart for not a lot of money. Great for DVDs, toys, etc. And always keep the key on your keyring or better, get one with a combination lock. And don't set the combination to 6969 like my stupid ex-roomie did.

now that the kids are grown I got a flat 'under the bed' tupperware type' box for toys, etc. I did put a dark cloth in it (it is opaque) so that anyone glancing under will assume its 'storage').

When my sons were younger I did the usual top of closet, I had a couple of lockable bags- but that only invites MORE curiousity doesn't it? I also had a dropped celing in a work room that was a great place to 'relax'. in the office there is 'boring files' that underneath I used to keep a stash, again until nosy boys.....

at one point I finally said 'here is the communal stash'....(isnt online porn so much simpler now)

One of my buds told me where he hides his porn and told me that if anything happens to him I am to go to his house unlock it with a hidden key and remove his porn collection before his mother gets there. LOL

We've had this discussion! Currently I have a "toy box" in the shape of a treasure chest. It's very attractive and has a place for a lock. The problem is that it looks too tempting. It makes you want to open it and see what's inside. We'll have to disguise our toybox better when the child grows older, maybe figure out how to add a lock to our bedside table.

I also snooped in my parents room when I was a kid and at the age of 12. I discovered my mother's dirty magazines. The "Dear Penthouse Forum" style letters of "real sexual experiences" was entertaining to me. They couldn't fool a 12 year old. I knew that the stories were made up. I still remember one of the stories very vividly, one about a truck driver who meets a perfectly proportioned little person who comes onto him and who could take all of his cock without any problem, even though he was sure that it wasn't possible. As a child I thought the writing was terrible and the facts suspect, but I still thought it was titillating.
