17 people are dead and this guy (a brit who spends about 95% of his time in this forum trash talking Americans) wanted to bump a week old thread to gossip about Melania's love life.
Every time we have a mass shooting any attempts to do anything at all to prevent future ones get swept under the rug. Distraction is just as good a tool as any at letting congressional inaction slide.
Also, I've been making the mistake of hitting the show ignored posts button a lot lately. I need to leave that damn thing alone (so I don't waste my time or anyone else's with negative responses to people who aren't worth the effort).
Thank you for taking the time to explain; I respect you for that. I share your frustration about the mass shooting(s), but clearly this is not the thread to discuss that.
There were critics and supporters of Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan; "strong-personality" first ladies with opinions. While Melania may not have foreseen being First Lady of the USA in her future where she married Mr. Trump, she is. I don't fault her; she signed on to be the "Trophy Wife" if you will, and it morphed to where she is today. In a perfect world, we would not criticize the First Lady, but unfortunately for Melania, I believe it's guilt by association. Both negative and positive.
Now, for me, the most important part of your reply was looking at your "ignored content". You put them on ignore for a reason. Leave them there. There are too many great posters on LPSG from all sides of the political spectrum who write intelligent and thoughtful posts. While I may not always agree with their statements/opinions, I do respect that they take the time to justify where THEY are coming from. Just like YOU do. That's the type of debate/discussion that makes LPSG so enjoyable. Not that I don't ever get aggravated, lol!
I don't have any posters on ignore. I do, however, make great use of my scroll wheel. And I bet my scroll wheel and your ignore list have a few in common. Peace out my friend.
