You two have to be pretty dumb. First you call me racist w/o proof. I try to say if you need to label it it would be a cultural bias. I know pretty much what the SW is all about. I am a SPIC YOU STUPID MOFO'S.

so you can put words in peoples mouths and call them racist, but when people use the racist comments youve made to call you racist you throw a fit?

^To be clear, I didn't call him racist, I called him a dipshit.

Earlier, I said that his 'opposition was racial in nature', which is pretty much what cultural prejudice/discrimination is defined as.

First of all, I never called you racist, though you do kinda sound that way. I did say you were chauvinistic and xeonophobic, which is patently obvious from your clearly expressed disdain for Latin/Mexican culture.

So you're a spic? (Funny thing, I had to look that up, I wasn't sure what it meant. That's about how much experience I have with those kinds of slurs.) And that gives you the license and authority to disparage a culture that you may have some vague ethnic connection to?

And now you (try to) insult my intelligence, after accusing me of doing the same, though I clearly demonstrated I did no such thing. Rather, you brought that on yourself, as you do again here. The irony is so obvious, I'll just let it speak for itself. As does your internalized bigotry.

p.s. I still have my dictionary handy. Wanna borrow it?

oops, sorry guys i didnt read your posts before i posted. just the one that he changed
Yeah, I noticed he cleaned that up too.

It wouldn't be the first time he changed his statement after somebody responded, not by a long shot.

Pays to capture him in a quote if you can. He's a tricky one. And shifty.

racism sucks. i really hate it. whether it is against latinos or blacks or whatever. i know this sounds stupid, but can't we all just be nice to each other? life is more pleasant that way.

as to immigration, let them in. make it easier to become legal. someone needs to work the farms etc, which is largely what people from mexico do in the southwest from what i understand.
if they are coming over the border loaded up with drugs, that is another matter.

i do not live there, so that is not first hand knowledge. personally, i find the culture very interesting and it does not bother me at all if they have a little bit of problems with english to start out. i was in miami once a few years back trying to get some stuff at a convenience store. the lady at the cash register did not speak a word of english. i knew just enough spanish to complete the transaction without a translator. it was funny looking back on it. if you don't hate me for being "white", i won't hate you for being whatever you are. sound like a deal?

Yeah. So what. You're a self hating Latino. You can be racist against your own race. It's just like being gay and despising other gay people. We have representatives of that group on this site(no names).

I highly doubt the guy is even Latino. I mean, it's not like anyone can't use iGoogle to translate a sentence into Spanish these days. Either that, or Aaron McGrudder is testing out a new character to play an "Uncle Ruckus from El Barrio" on an upcoming episode of The Boondocks.

"You are 102% black, with a 2% margin of error"

LMAO!!

I miss that show...

The new season started a month ago!! The Boondocks - Official Site
And I just found out that Uncle Ruckus has Christmas songs available on iTunes including the ever popular, "Christmas Is For (White) Children". Just hearing his voice makes me keel over with laughter.

I take it all back.

You all are the greatest minds I ever came across and leave permanently shame faced.

Have a great life.
Well, I'm not sure we quite warrant that, but I thank you for your kind acknowledgement and good wishes.

The first step on the path to growth is to recognize your own shortcomings.

I applaud you for that and wish you all the best.

Good to hear that you support sensible immigration reform like that just passed in MA. So do I, along with the vast majority of Americans, regardless of political affiliation (or the lack thereof)...

from article said:
The measure, which passed on a 28-10 vote as an amendment to the budget, would bar the state from doing business with any company found to break federal laws barring illegal immigrant hiring. It would also toughen penalties for creating or using fake identification documents, and explicitly deny in-state college tuition for illegal immigrants.

The amendment would also require the state’s public health insurance program to verify residency through the Department of Homeland Security, and would require the state to give legal residents priority for subsidized housing.
The measure would also close what supporters say is a loophole that allows businesses to register cars under a company name, without identifying the owner by Social Security number and federal tax identification number. It would also crate a toll-free hot line for anonymous reporting of companies that employ illegal immigrants...... The legislation also would increase penalties for driving without a license, one of the main problems facing illegal immigrants in Massachusetts.

Notice how the local and state cops won't be required to assume that everyone they encounter is an illegal immigrant, until they prove otherwise.

Your interpretation doesn't fly, for a couple reasons.

First, nothing in the Arizona statute requires LEOs to presume everyone they encounter is an illegal. It does, however, compel them to investigate whenever reasonable suspicion exists that a person they've contacted might be an illegal alien. ANYONE stopped by police is going to be asked for their license, no matter who you are...and when you present one, you've satisfied one of the enumerated statutory conditions that creates a legal presumption that you ARE NOT an illegal alien. But an Hispanic guy who speaks broken English and doesn't have a license? Very reasonably suspicious, particularly in light of this factoid:

The legislation also would increase penalties for driving without a license, one of the main problems facing illegal immigrants in Massachusetts.

So, the kindly state of MA addresses the problem by upping the penalty for driving with no license...meaning the state takes on the costs of prosecution and disposition of each of these cases, but leaving them free to remain here illegally. Brilliant. Arizona's solution is much more elegant in that it determines their immigration status from the get-go and turns the illegals over to federal immigration authorities. No added administrative cost or effort to the state, and it gets them the hell out of Dodge.

Thanks for the rant, but where did I mention Arizona's law in my post? Oh that's right, I didn't.
