We remember in the 80s when these were fashionable in the gym, but which shirt did you think was sexier. I know both the gay/straight porn industry in the early to about late 80s had a high demand for both muscle shirts and half shirts in some of the pre-condum classics.

What do you think? Which was sexier?

Don't know about being sexy, but I prefer to wear muscle shirts. Never understood why a guy would wear a 1/2 shirt.

Plain white v neck t-shirt. I realize these are not always practical in the gym as the sleeves tend to inhibit movement in the arms and shoulders BUT for me personally......

There is nothing hotter than a sweat soaked white t-shirt, sticking to a lean muscular torso.

Lawdy!

I don't really like either of them, but I do like when a fit guy wears a shirt that "just" reaches the top of his jeans. I like that unexpected peek at the cute tummy when he moves just right.

Never given it much thought, but when I was working as a trainer the only shirts I wore were sleeveless....to show my guns. Generally, I prefer my Y-backs in a non-training situation as I think they show your V-taper, shoulders, arms and pecs much better.

I always wear muscle shirts at the gym, for freedom of movement. They work well with my build.

You really have to be rail-thin (which I am not) for a half-shirt to look good. They're so dated now that I doubt many people would find them sexy. Anyone under 25, and too young to remember the fashions of the mid to late 1980s, would probably find them extremely odd. But if you're into sweatbands worn around the head, they are the perfect accompaniment ...

I never liked them or found them appealing. They only looked okay on guys with extremely cut torsos. They looked too much like something a lady would wear. I don't especially care for feminine clothing on guys.

I found muscle shirts to be a better choice than a tank top. I get mine from Champion. They're great to wear to the beach when the weather is warm. (How many more months until spring?)

Unless a guy is super young and slim, better to stick with a standard tee shirt, in my opinion. Most older guys, even if built, somehow look silly to me in briefer shirts.

:frown1: umm....im having a dense moment here...I came of age in the late 80s/early 90s and have no idea what a 'half shirt' is. Are you talking about a tee that only comes down to a guys midsection? Like a midriff on women?
