I'm a morning person, kinda always have been. I usually get up around 4 or 5 in the morning and have coffee and a few bong hits with my love before a shower and breakfast. I treasure that time.. watching the sunlight get brighter and brighter through my kitchen windows, hearing the calmness of the first few hours before the rest of humanity gets up and starts fucking the whole day up.

I tend to the plants, feed my animal family, cuddle my love... It's just the best time of the day for me. However, I'm not one of those creepily cheerful morning fucks who insists on spreading that annoying shit to everyone else who would prefer to still be sleeping. My mornings are for me and my little family of animals, plants, and this fella who happens to be a morning person the same way I am. I lucked out there big time.

So how about you? I'm gonna predict I'm in the minority in this topic :joy:

Love getting up early, just seems so peaceful and calming. Quiet time for coffee, reading paper, sitting outside watching the sun cum up. Much rather get an early start to the day, it seems that if I get up later that most of the day has been wasted.

Black out curtains are the key to my happiness.

Roaming the streets in the post witching hour am will ever be my favorite time of day. I go for bike rides at three am with the doggos.

I've always kept vampire hours.

If work or life demands daywalking I am capable. Most of my schedule is set for over night living.

I was an early bird when I used to go camping. I’d either make coffee if possible, or go buy some nearby and just chill at the smoldering fire pit. Nowadays I’m not a late riser but definitely not an early bird.

When I worked graveyards at that 24/hr diner I thrived as a vampire. My hard partying days, same.

Now? I'm up all night cuz I sleep for shit but I don't enjoy being awake at night. Not anymore. I do miss enjoying the vampire life. It was me for a few years.

Night. Sunlight is hot n hurts my eyes. Triggers headaches n migraines, depending on how severe it is. Always liked the calm, quiet o night + less ppl too? Even better. Had jobs that made me get up at 5am n no, never did get used to that shit. Ever. Do force sleep cycle consistency more n used to, because matchin' it up w partner, so no stayin' up til 5, 6am anymore. But. Bedtime is 'bout 3am. Get ready for bed ehn. 2:30amish.

Blackout curtains for sleep durin' bright out = yes. Also very yes for migraine problems n hide in dark room.

You and me MickeyLee.
I've always been a night owl. Going right back to my schooldays when I was forced to be up at the ungodly hour of 8:00am, sure my eyes were open and I walked there but I didn't wake up until the sun was on it's way down.
It's one of the reasons I think I'll always live alone but it's possible there are more MickeyLees out there!

Night owl. Quarantine has only deepened this, frequently im up til the sun's almost up, catch a few hours and up by 10. I don't sleep a lot. Pretty typical for me to get about 4 hours in. occasionally I luck out and sleep like 12 hours, I guess whenever my system gets too run down from lack of truly restful sleep.

I’m kind of both. I love the early mornings before everyone else gets up. I usually wake up naturally about 7am. But I used to be a huge night owl. I can still stay up, pretty late, but I have some sleep issues.

<sigh> neither. I need my 8-9 hours a night, so I’m generally in bed toddler-early. Like 9:30 at the latest (and up around 6:30 for work). And on weekends, I stay up until midnight but then don’t roll out of bed until 9’ish or so.

If I had to choose though, it’s easier for me to stay up late than get up early. I’ve never been a morning person.

I've always been an early morning person. In Jr. High school I got up at 4AM to workout, shower, and have breakfast before I went to school. I've never slept very long, usually between 4-6 hours then I'm awake and ready to go again. I believe it stems from when my mom was pregnant and it was time for me to be delivered, she told me my head popped out in the wheelchair on the way to the delivery room. Guess that's why I've always been an early kinda guy.

I was raised on a farm. In my mid-life I had a small farm. Each situation required early rising in order to tend to chores feeding and tending livestock before going to my day job. This has developed a definite morning owl tendency. Even though being retired for many years the biology has not reset. Still up about 5 a.m. and to bed by 10 p.m.

Early bird. I definitely have more mental acuity and am in a better mood early. By 7 pm I can barely spell my name. Each day for me is like a miniature version of Flowers for Algernon.
