In boxer briefs or any kind of underwear that are tight fitting I place my in up position (B) because my erection points up. This is basically a habit from when i would get random erections so that my penis would be in the direction that it would naturally go. Nothing more uncomfortable than an erection being forced in a direction that it doesn't want to be in. In boxers it just hangs because nothing is keeping it in the upward direction.

Exactly the same here. I can only let Junior point down if he has plenty of room. Typically, I wear loose boxerbriefs or regular boxers. Snug undies don't feel comfortable to me anymore, so I only wear them once in a while.
