For the record, Wizard of Oz isn't a gay movie...it's a classic. And I've seen all of those movies.

Jeffrey is probably my favorite gay movie. I think it was completely successful in recreating the mentality of a gay man in the '90s. It was beautifully played by all characters as well.

You misread the poll...I said gay themed and gay loved movies. The gays LOVE the Wizard of Oz. (to generalize)

There are quite a few these days.

The two French la Cage aux Folles were good. Also Visconti's Ludwig II.

A favorite is the Bourne Swan Lake.

An excellent documentary is Brother Outsider, about Bayard Ruston.

There is a new one out about Billy Strayhorn I haven't seen yet.

I've been buying them for our local GLBT community center, finding ones that can be shown to under 18 is not easy.

I'd add these to the list (although some of them are not available on DVD).

The Ritz
Norman, Is That You?
Dinah East
Some Of My Best Friends Are (aka The Bar)
Happy Birthday, Gemini
Outrageous
Boys In The Band
For Ladies Only
Making Love
Partners

and...as someone added, La Cage I, II and III

"NO WIRE HANGERS" should be in every High School's English curriculum!

What constitutes a "Gay loved"? Surely; "Gentlemen prefer Blondes"; "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?"; "Sunset Boulevard" ; should feature, all my lesbian friends can recite word for word the dialogue to every Doris Day film recorded (really- Calamity Jane and they're off!!!!)

What constitutes it is the first 10 to 12 I thought of. A poll can only have 10 choices.

I even forgot Brokeback Mountain. I would have surely put that one in.

I even typed Priscilla too qickly and messed it up.
