Which porn star should write an auto or have a biography done on them?

Making more additions to the list:

Paul Morgan
Chase Hunter
Sean Dickson
Tom Chase
Ryan Yeager
David Rockmore
Randy Spears
Steve Drake
+ already mentioned: Michael Christopher, Paul Carrigan, Ryan Idol
Jack Wrangler's book is also on my list. Always thought him to be an interesting guy.

As someone else has mentioned, it would be cool to read all about
the "behind the scenes" making of the famous Joe Gage trilogy:
Kansas City Trucking Co. - El Paso Wrecking Corp. - L.A. Tool & Die

I don't have a answer for this question. I suspect the sex stories would be mostly dull (the best parts ending up on video). I think the behind the scenes stories of their lives would be far more compelling reading. As I understand it, it is rarely a lucrative and elegant life. Porn stars' lives have often been documented to have been full of drugs, STDs, broken families (both before and after porn), financial hardship and betrayal. I'd like to think that porn stars are just working actors who shoot porn, get paid, and have regular lives, but I think that is not often the case.

I recently read the biography about the Harlow-Cuadra-Joseph-Kerekes-Bryan-Kocis murder case. The entire situation was fucked up in every possible way.

Shurewood mentioned Zak Spears. He's been around for a long time. He probably has a lot to say.
I think Tom Katt could also be interesting. I read he retired from gay porn and married a woman. He was an active bottom in films, although he also topped. He topped Billy Herrington. I guess he's another who could also be interesting. But then, he could be another boring "I'm not really gay, I just have gay sex for fun and pay" type of person.

Agreed, Boris. I've had a long-time fascination with Zak Spears. He did a nice interview in the movie: "On The Mark" where he came across as such an unpretentious, down-to-earth type of man. His humility has always been a great source of admiration. I remember the first time I ever saw him on screen, and being very impressed with his "screen presence" which seemed to embody the word "masculinity." Zak just seems like such a nice guy. I would like to know more about him, but everyone is entitled to their privacy.

John Holmes written by someone who was actually there and had no agenda, just told the facts. That saw his fall into addiction and the extent of his involvement for the Wonderland Murders, ie. who were the co-conspritors, did he actually kill someone, how far gone was he by that point, etc.

yes i would love to see a legit John Holmes movie done properly. Wonderland focused on one aspect and Boogie Nights was loosely based on him. His life is so interesting

For me it would have to be Damien Crosse, He is one very hot and sexy guy as well as being one of the well know and highly rated guys. Being owner of Stag Homme Studios and pornographer, he would be able to give give several perspectives One from in front of the camera and one from behind the camera. He would have a great knowledge and understanding of the industry and how it has evolved over the years and how it now has to rapidly change to meet consumer demands

I'd love to read books about Bob Mizer and David Hurles. Mizer was the founder of the Athletic Model Guild, probably the very first gay studio. Hurles shot hundreds of models (many of whom modeled for AMG) for his own Old Reliable Studios. The models both men used were rough and sometimes dangerous, so the stories would be fascinating.
Another great book subject would be Bobby Garcia, who filmed hundreds and hundreds of straight Marines getting their first encounter with gay sex.

I agree! Bobby's Marines and Frat House Boys were early favorites of mine. His videos are very rough, amateur productions ... which only adds to the realism. How he talks some of those guys into being filmed is an interesting topic about which to speculate. lol I can imagine there are lots of stories about what goes on at Bobby's house. :biggrin1:

Is there a definitive list of porn stars that have had books written by/ about them? The only ones I know for sure are Casey Donovan, Joey Stefano, Bobby Blake and Jon Vincent.

I think the book would have to be someone who has been in the industry for at least 15 years. Mark Davis (a straight porn star) has been in it for at least 20 years, and has---I'm pretty sure---struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction. He might have a good story to tell.

Has anyone seen the movie about that German (I think.) iconic guy with the bleached pageboy haircut from the '70s that used to be a perennial in the gay district of San Francisco? He would simply walk the streets in these extravagant sexually provocative outfits---mainly just to be seen, not so much to get laid. His vanity apparently was off the charts! I forget its name (something like "Who's that guy?"), but it really is fascinating on many levels.

I'd go with Jeff Stryker also, be better if it were an audio book and Jeff were the narrator.

Totally agree, used to get hard listening to his voice and way he spoke with his bottoms.....
Cock was awesome looking, my throat would have loved to have sampled it deep

That's it! If you want to see an amazing documentary about the gay scene in San Francisco in the 70s, and about a man with boundless vanity who crafted himself into an iconic kinky gay Ken doll that would stroll the streets just to be seen, check out this film!
