Caving into minority demands? The American people don't support what the Democrats are doing or Obama's policies so how would they be caving into minority demands? Democrats were confused in their thinking that the election gave them a mandate to do anything they wanted...it didn't.
Elections do have consequences and Pelosi and the Democrats may become acquainted with it very soon starting with 2010.

They were voted into office on a clearly stated agenda which is now being put into action. You can call that "doing anything they wanted" or you can face the reality that more voters supported the Democratic platform than the Republican platform. You're a Republican - you don't like it - understood. But you don't speak for the "American People"

Not quite. The Democrats refuse to even put their bills in legal language and post it online so people can read it. The public doesn't even know what is truly meant by the term "public option." It depends on how a "public option" is structured. The Democrats don't even know what their "public option" is...but Democrats are trying to assert polls show the American people support something they refuse to define.

Wrong. I said twice: The American People don't support what the Democrats are doing or Obama's policies and the polls back that up. I didn't bring up Obama's job approval polls. You did. I simply responded that Obama's job approval has decreased dramatically and that also backs up my statement.

No where in that job approval is "you're doing a great job." It's going down so fast Gallup is noting how badly it's falling.
If you and Obama are holding on to the 3% margin of error as a mandate on issues that poll individually with no majority support outside of the margin of error, that shows exactly how misguided you and the Obama administration are in your thinking.

Unfortunately this isn't atypical here. On another thread I pointed out that showing your child your erection is illegal. I was asked to point out which law makes it illegal and it was discredited because it didn't specifically say that "showing your erection to a child is illegal" (only that "intentionally exposing your genitals to a minor with a reasonable expectation of causing alarm" is illegal).
The sad truth is that if people want to believe badly enough that the sky is green (or that Obama is the devil or that it's ok to wag your weenie to children) then they'll go to any length to cling to it... logic be damned.
