Thai in general are very friendly people but last on my list as well. It all depends on the person though. It cracks me up to see guys going to Thailand for a 'vacation'. It really is the last place I would want to visit. Besides. Bangcock has some of the highest AIDS cases in the world. That's not even including other diseases you can pick up besides sexual contact. No thanks. *cringes*
I know that koreans and other north asians look down on the southeast asians alot. I have heard the word 'gooks' used more than a few times by Koreans. And by women talking about other women, no less.

Totally agree. If you ever go to Thailand on holiday for any reason other than diving in the Andaman then they are going shagging
One of the first lessons you learn on your diving course when you're instructing is that you NEVER help a bleeding Thai person due to the rampant rates of HIV or Hep.. it's a real shame it has to be that way, but you've got to look after yourself first.
That all said if you're traveling go see it, but use Bangkok as a stopping off point as it is truly a hole.

Well, the Koreans tend to look down on many other races, including their own mixed. Look up the story of Hines Ward. Until he went back as a Super Bowl hero he felt like a leper in Korea because he was half black.
Bangkok is a dirty city. That being said it has some of the most amazing sites, go to the Grand Palace, visit the various wats including wat arun.
Go to Cha Am or Hua Hin beautiful quiet beaches with many golf courses around. Then you can go on elephant rides, feed the monkeys that the monks take care of. Elsewhere you can walk among tigers.
Go further south to Krabi, Phuket, or Phi Phi and you will see some of the most amazing views in the world. The beaches are good, the water is clear and the topography is beyond belief. Here you can also go scuba diving as lerotic can attest.
On the east coast there is Pattaya, which is the sex capital based on the size of the city, but there are nice beaches and daytime activities. Then at night go to Walking Street which is llike Bourbon Street on steriods.
Yes there are enough girls to keep you busy for the rest of your life, but there is also music and food from one end to another. You can eat Russian, Italian, Thai, Irish, and French fusion all within a short distance. For music you can go to The Rolling Stone bar and hear classic rock. About 30 meters away is a hip hop club. Oh yeah, an LPGA event was held there this spring, that is the quality of the courses.
To the north you can visit Chaing Mai which is the old capital up in the mountains. Ayutthaya is about an hour and a half to two hours north of Bangkok. There you can see amazing ruins of ancient temples.
Don't be so quick to dismiss the country. There is a lot there besides girls and yes the girls can be something special.
Lastly, two weeks in Thailand, going to half the cities I mentioned, will cost you less than 2k up to 2.5k if you go down to Phuket.

It is relative. A westerner who is reliable, stable and who isn't a butterfly man can get her love in two weeks. Thai women are not as concerned about age, as they are about the ability of the man to provide.
She will take care of him, his house, his sexual needs, as long as he is a good man. She will stay with him and learn love.

Honestly, how many men go to the orient to be enlgish teachers or some other job and end up hooking up with asian women? It's the main reason 95% of guys go over there. Personally, I think it's pathetic to see 20 year old girl with over 40-50 guys. Most of the time, they can't even communicate.
I was in an asian dating service for awhile when I was in Seattle, until I realized how lame the whole thing was. Going to parties to watch old perverts talking dirty to asian women who can't even speak english. That had to be the saddest thing I have ever seen.

Before you make your final call of not dating an asian women, I would like to give you some insights on this?
All marriages are "mutually beneficial relationships". The only thing you need to specify are what services are being traded for what.
Traditionally, women married well-established men so that they could take care of them and their children. Men married attractive women that could bear many heirs. Women traded sex/procreation for status/wealth/protection. Men traded money/status/property for sex/procreation.
Sometime in the last century, we figured that it's better (and more noble) to marry for love instead of "stuff". But people around the world still do so today. Uglyass men from North America get lonely (and randy) so they check the *ahem* help wanted ads for women who want husbands in NA. These are usually Asian or Russian women who want to live in NA in relative wealth (remember what these people are currently living in) and protection.
Everybody who gets married is looking to trade something permanently. Don't be so judgemental to think your way is the best (or only) way. After all, in our "cultured" society where we marry for such a high moral, we sure do have a high divorce rate, don't you think.

Yeah, well those people doing mail order brides have more problems than you know. Same problems that same race couples have but compounded by cultural differences and lack of proper communication. Nightmare.

Very well said. The average thai makes 3,700 usd a year, so average americans rich. But, before you condmen that, no not you brave one, do you think that billy joel got christie brinkley because of his looks, or the fact that he is twice the age of his newest wife. Also, ever hear of a trophy wife, it is the one that the rich guy gets when he makes it and dumps the one who bore his children. The only difference with SE Asia is that you just have to be an average guy or slightly richer and you can have the same. All a matter of scale.
This topic actually came up in a car forum I'm on. The thread starter, an American himself, was in the military and stationed in Europe. He had nothing but good things to say about most European women he'd met and how their attitudes are better. The thread went on for 230 posts, and hardly anybody refuted the original premise.
