Tough to call here... Grace Kelly was the epitome of ice queen beauty; cool but not aloof. Hitchcock saw it right away and gave her the best shot of her life. It's the kiss from Rear Window and it's breathtaking.

Hedy Lamarr was something close to perfection and she could act! The cheekbones, the eyes, the ultrafine raven hair, and a body resembling sin. Just smoking! You've seen her on the CorelDRAW8 box in one of her more famous glamor shots. More than just beauty, Lamarr was a technical genius who invented the frequency hopping spread spectrum system which is the basis of secure radio communications and cellular phone systems. No shit.
What list would be complete without Rita Hayworth?? Just watch this number. I don't think there are words for it but I know she gets me hard every time I see this scene. This is a great montage of color and B&W clips which also show her dancing. While she couldn't sing, she could dance. Fred Astair once said Hayworth was his favorite dance partner as she just, "melted," in his arms.
I'd like to think the unseen Helen of Troy was the most beautiful woman to have ever lived but if there was a face (and a body to match) that could launch a thousand ships, it would have to be Sophia Loren (in black corset and garter stockings in this scene, ahem). If her cheekbones were any higher she'd be an alien. This montage is particularly flattering and demonstrates that of all stars, she has aged the most gracefully. Her generous and kind personality just radiates beauty even today. If only we could all look so good!
