Thought this would be an interesting topic. Who are your representatives? You don't have to put as many down as I have. As you can see, I live in a fairly left of center part of the country.

    US Senate
    Barbara Boxer (D)
    Dianne Feinstein (D)

    US House of Reps
    Susan Davis (D)

    CA Governor
    Arnold Schwarzenegger (R)

    CA State Senate
    Christine Kehoe (D) (lesbian)

    CA State Assembly
    Lori Saldana (D)

    San Diego Mayor
    Jerry Sanders (R)

San Diego City Council District 3
Todd Gloria (D) (total gay boy- love it!)

In Nebada (which is how you pronounce it when you have a cold) my reps are:

    Governor
Jim Gibbons (R) --plagued by an ugly public divorce and now an ex wife who can't keep her mouth shut about anything who he had to appeal to the State Legislature to have removed from the Governor's Mansion :biggrin1:

    US Senate
Harry Reid (D) -- a mormon and older than the hills outside of Search Light, you know him, you love him, he's Pelosi's butt buddy
John Ensign (R) -- an evangelical christian from Vegas and and famous adulterer under investigation for criminal hanky panky by both The House Ethics Committee and The State Department

    US House of Reps
Dean Heller, (R) -- often mistaken for a Parker House roll
Shelley Berkley, (D) -- a nice Jewish girl who has done so well even the Republicans like her
Dina Titus. (D) -- a thoughtful liberal who FOX Not the News likes to deride, cowboys want to nail her but not vote for her

I don't have any. It seems whom ever I vote in goes to the state house or DC and just does what their party wants them to do...

Gee, that's too bad conntom. Maybe you're living in the wrong country? I voted for four out of six representatives that represent me. But don't take that as an invitation to move to Nevada. We really don't need you.

I'm looking forward to some enthusiastic attacks.

I'm not going to attack her. I like her (even though she's Reid's butt buddy).

You have to wonder how Pelosi is able to do it sometimes?
Perhaps she's just an undercover madam with a nice array of strippers, ready to give disgruntled House politicians a lap dance whenever it comes time to pass a bill? Kidding, of course... or am I?

Ah yes, the old neighborhood.* I worked for a few of those people, Ms. Kehoe from her very first campaign,
when she shattered the G/L barrier on the City Council, now old friend. What is Toni Atkins up to now?

    My current representatives:

    US Senators
Bob Corker (R) total flaming asshole
Lamar Alexander (R) used to be cool, too much Kool-Aid, now flaming asshole

    Governor
Phil Bredesen (D) terrific guvnur, unfortunately termed out, likely to be replaced by a Repughlican

That's as specific as I'm gonna get. I live in a small place. I've left waaay too many breadcrumbs here already.
I will say it's likely my decent centrist (D) Rep in the U.S. House will be replaced by (R) this year.
Statewide, I expect at least a few seats will shift (D) to (R) this year. I'm doing what I can.

    * I swear to god you were my barrista.

Mostly for their entertainment value only, that is (i.e. except for the ones from the left).

houtx48: It's that "great hair" that's hard to beat in the polls. I'm doing my best to come up with an anti Ensign bumper sticker that doesn't tell you who to vote for, but who not to vote for.And Ensign has perfect hair! When Clinton first ran for president I saw someone at the Democratic Convention with a sign that screamed "Just Say Noe!" I thought it was hilarious and had a couple of thousand bumper stickers printed that asked "Bush and Quayle in 92? Just Say Noe!" I went through two more printings selling them for $2 each and in small print the sticker noted that all profits would be donated to an non profit adult literacy organization. Project Read got almost $10,000 that year!

Now, if I can only come up with something that plays up Ensign's evangelical adultery. So far all I've got is "Enough Evangelical Adultery, Anyone But Ensign!", but it just doesn't have that kick necessary to make readers laugh and vote for someone else. Not enough alliteration, assonance, or rhythm. Anyone with a suggestion, please PM me.

I remember hearing or reading someone say that John F. Kennedy won the presidential election because of his hair (can't remember who it was; older media person, maybe?)

No surprise to anyone, I could do without her. She must be one hell of a bulldog behind closed doors. I bet she was quite beautiful as well. Hell, even now she seems to have a good figure.

I'll be glad to see her voted out - not holding my breath though.

Atkins is running for the State Assembly. I'm not very fond of her. Yes, she's a lesbian Democrat liberal, but she was almost always in support of big developers.

Yes, well we both know who rules that town. I would agree with you on Toni, on that and other issues. I could tell you some tales . . . She's a politician for sure, who rode Christine's coattails into office. Chris by contrast is sincere, and she's managed to remain credible and principled, while still learning to play the game and be effective. Strong yet unassuming, and she's never forgotten the people who helped her get where she is. I hope she makes another run for Congress, she would be a great asset.

I'm glad Sanders was able to beat back that prick Francis and get re-elected after his mea culpa. He's one of the few remaining officeholders I still respect who have an (R) after their name. Course I would have been thrilled with Donna Frye in the first go round. So were you my barrista or not?
