How do you know when something might be "right"? What does that feel like?

...They won't have these problems because they're superior. They're better than normal people and won't succumb to the same problems as the rest of humanity...

I have for some time watched you beat this philosophy into the ground, Wally. I know plenty of what you would call "high status" people. They have money, power, looks, great skills, amazing connections and appear to all the world to be the pinnacle of human kind. But they are sel-centered, stressed, frustrated, angry, mean, spiteful, hated, hateful and unhappy people. They get divorced, get drunk, get stoned, get sick, are hated by their families and have friends only because they have money and "status"...and they know it.

The world is not as you portray it. It only looks that way to you because you insist on laying on the ground and looking up. Yes. many things in life come easier to the well-placed people. But happiness is not one of them. We manufacture that particular commodity all by ourselves.

I only hope some day you come to recognize that.

you are missing his point by a mile .. if you are a self centered, stressed, frustrated, angry mean drunk asshole, than you are not of high status ... why would you ever think that would make them of high status? what just because someone is rich and has good looks thats ALL it takes? lol

I'm not so sure of that. I've read much of what Wally has posted on LPSG. I don't think he'd agree with my statement. I have always thought that Wally equated "high status" with looks, money, power and other such attributes.

But maybe I'm wrong...

And you are, I think, missing my point. I certainly don't think that...and I was disagreeing with what I interpret to be Wally's belief that these people remain "high status" individuals, despite their flaws. I believe my post makes my feelings clear on that.

The most high status people usually get married in their 20's. Those that are left over in their 30's are the unwanted mid to low status individuals and those who are 40 and still unmarried are quite often defective.

It is your choice to marry or not, but keep in mind the fact that if you're unmarried past a certain point in life, you will never find a partner worth having. You will find someone, but only someone low status or even defective.

This is a really immature illusion about people. You never really know someone until you live with them and sad to say that so many people that marry in their 20's end up divorced. I would have to say that this is a very unhealthy way to look at it. Everyone has their quirks and baggage as well as incredibly wonderful aspects of themselves. It is more who fits with who the best. When you wait to marry until your 30's you are more mature and have a better chance at making the best choice for the both of you as well as a better chance at staying together.

didnt know that, im not sure about wallys other posts from other threads... what i got out of his original post is that high status people are those with many desirable traits .. if someone is young, successful, good looking, smart, talented, nice, caring etc. then they will attract many suitors

low status people are the scumbags with the traits we all know are bad, thats why i think the whole "theres someone for everyone" argument is flawed, if someone is a ugly, mean, loser who likes to cheat, then they wont be good for anyone ... and i think age has less to do with "status" but it is still a factor when it comes to having children .. so i really dont see anything "immature" about his statement (refering to sharpone's comment)

Okay, I'm going to try and explain what it means to be high status.

Being high status is not about having money, power, etc. High status is about being superior.

Your status is determined by your ranking in three areas, physical, mental and personality. Your rank in these areas is determined by how close you are to what society considers perfect for each category. For example, in America to be considered perfect physically you need to be tall, muscular, have a large dick and generally speaking be white with blond hair. The closer you are to that standard of perfection, the higher your ranking is. The farther away you are from that standard, the lower your ranking is.

Things like money and power have more to do with grouping you after your basic status has been determined. Remember, you can still be low status or even defective and have money or power.

But Wally, what if you don't prefer someone who is white, or how has blonde hair, or someone who has a big dick? You're talking about what you think makes a person superior. Other people do not agree with you about what traits they personally prefer in a mate. Take me for example, I've always been more strongly attracted to dark haired men, so obviously I don't consider blonde haired men to be superior. You keep pushing your personal standards on to everyone else.

That's why I wrote, "in general" before I posted that trait. Race, hair and eye color are only in reference to what society in general tells us are superior. They aren't superior in and of themselves like height and muscles. In that category, people can like different things depending on their own preferences.
