Does anyone remember an animated clay figure that sang these words?

N-E-S-T-L-E-S,
Nestlé's makes the very best
Choc-la-la-la-la-aaat!
(Takes bite out of the chocolate truck that he drives. Speaks:) Mm. And they make pretty good trucks too!

Yes, but Hershey's is the Great American Chocolate Bar!!!!

(Actually, Nestle and Cadberry do it for me)

The only reason I am voting Hershey, is that they have an entire amusement park in PA dedicated to their product. So imagine a morning at the candy factory and the rest of the day on rides that make you want to throw up.

ahhhhhhhhhhh good times good times

I remember the one you mentioned but this is the only thing I could find on youtube! YouTube - Nestle's Christmas Commercial
In terms of Nestles chocolate the candy in the US is crap compared to what they make in Switzerland.

Well, that's creepy enough!

I never noticed until now that they recite the letters N-E-S-T-L-E-S, but they say "Nestlé," without the S on the end. The products are all labeled that way too. So the "S" is only there to make a rhyme, and a defective one at that.

I do anything for a Leonidas Orangette.

I am with Max and others, the Belges rule the chocolate waves.

I also have a thing for chilli dark chocolate, say 70%+.

Maybe I should combine the two.

It will change according to my mood, there are times I crave extremely sweet and then there are times I prefer the natural state. I move from brand to brand with but 1 requirement and that is that it's dark chocolate.

Drifter--

I forgot about Mexican-style!

Which is a shame, because Mexico is where Chocolate is from.

Now I need spiced cocoa (thank God we have sugar-free nestle's and cinnamon sticks!)

Speaking of which, for those of you who have tried Nestle's Abuelits (Mexican-style instant cocoa), isn't it lovely? :D

I do anything for a nudeyorker Orangette.

Bend over!
Orangettes
1 large navel orange
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup chopped semisweet chocolate

Using a peeler, cut 3-inch long, 3/4-inch wide strips of orange peel from the orange. Bring a small saucepan of water to a boil and simmer the orange peels for 10 minutes. Drain the peels, rinse them with cold water, and boil them in fresh water for an additional 10 minutes; repeat this process 1 more time.

Bring the sugar and water to a boil in a medium saucepan and stir occasionally until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has reduced in volume just a bit, about 5 minutes. Add the orange peels and continue simmering the mixture for 15 minutes. Transfer the candied orange peel to a wire drying rack and allow it to sit undisturbed for 45 minutes.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the chocolate in a double boiler over simmering water, and stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Dip the 2/3 of the length of each candied orange strip in the chocolate, leaving 1/3 of the peel exposed, and place it on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
