I think it depends if you whore yourself out.

For example, everytime someone posts on your wall... you get a visit. Each time you post on someone else's wall, or in their gallery, if they have manners, they will thank you by posting on your wall.

Those who are active in the gallery, have tons of people responding back.

Now, imagine you have tons of pictures and they are hot. People befriend you, and check your profile daily to see if you add. 100 friends x 7 days in a week =700 visits. Some of them check more than once...

It's a lovely game of numbers.

I've noticed Pieter's absence too. His count is surprising, considering that he joined long after the big upgrade (when the counting started). Jeff Black's is very high, considering that he took a long hiatus.

I think that my counter stopped counting when I made the Friends part of my profile private. It is stuck at 15,917 visits. All of those are from before 2009.

I was the first one to reach 1000, then I was soon overtaken by either Rico27 or OCMuscleJock, or maybe Numbers123... I can't quite remember. I was an LPSG ho when they made the upgrade.
