Heath was a total Psycho in the film, therefore the perfect Joker.

Yeah in my opinion Ledger is the best and the perfect joker but some batman fans prefer Jack . Is really sad that he died .

I prefer Ledger. He was amazing. The licking his lips just finished it. One of his best performances!

I can't disagree with there. He was amazing. Shame he had to die so young.

Heath was the better of the two by far.

I don't think there's a comparison in the two. Jack and Heath were legendary in their performances. Jack's laugh was manic and when Heath was standing in the middle of the street screaming, "Hit me. HIT ME!" I was so drawn into his performance. I do think that Heath's performance brought the Joker's personality into a brighter light though for sure and that made his performance stand out more than Jack's but in the same breath Jack'll never be forgotten.

I miss Heath. So many entertainment icons died this year. Woo woo.

I'm agreeing with the numbers gentleman above me. You can't compare the two of them because they are based on two different versions of the Jokes. If anything, one should talk about which Joker was written better.

The original Joker offered a slightly silly and psychotic character, one who was a petty thief gone big time. New Joker was dark and disturbed, more about the hurting than the crime... it was a psychological performance. Both very good, but not based on the same joker.

Why isn't Cesar Romero an option?

Because no one cares about a giggling man, wearing far too much make-up, and dancing around in a purple suit. You can see those jokers on every street corner.

This isn't the time for a political jabs at Palin.

To answer the poll, I'd say Ledger.
