And your definition of diversity is skin deep. Calling me an idiot is an ad hoc attack, going personal I see.

Holding up one minority as a sign of great diversity by your own definition doesn’t really help your cause. Swing and a miss.
Name ten elected officials for the GOP that are black.

The Republican Party's elected officials don't possess a diversity of opinion. The Democrats run the gamut.

Until you can convince me otherwise, you are an idiot.

Providing you information and “convincing you” may not be the same I suppose. But I’m a Republican in favor of rational gun control, support Roe v. Wade, voted for Trump only because his first name is not Hillary, and doesn’t give a flying fuck who you live with or marry as long as they are an adult and can consent.

Yeah. That’s a separate argument. Also devoid of logic.

Actually it isn't. In the 70's when states lowered the drinking age on the "he can die for his country but can't drink a beer theory" high schools were quickly loaded up with legally obtained booze and DWI's for that age group soared. After some serious carnage states and the Feds said, "Hmmm . . . might there be a connection? Let's raise the age back up." Voila! Problem GREATLY reduced. Will raising the age limit to buy military style weapons solve the problem. No. Can it reduce it? Why don't the right to lifers want to try it? The logic is sound, and it is a piece of the puzzle that deserves to be at least seriously tried before it is dismissed. The right seems to feel if an idea makes sense it might take hold, God forbid that would happen.

But your support of Trump enables the destruction of all you claim not to be against. Duh.

Support of Trump?

And even if so, has he advocated positions contrary to those I espoused?

It's not just the positions he advocates (who knows what he really believes?), but the administrators and judges he appoints.

IMO you represent the old school Republicans. Rational people have been displaced by the ones way out there. They are the ones who disavow facts and believe only what they are told.

May I ask, why vote for Trump only because he wasn't Hillary? I believe that the ones who voted like you or voted third party have no one elseto blame for Trump's fuck ups. They had an opportunity to stop him and did nothing. I see friends complaining about the latest screwup by Trump and them questioning how someone could vote for him and remind them that their votes for Jill Stein helped put him in office so they should STFU.

May I also ask, how do you now feel about Trump? His many vacations to his resorts (which puts money in his pockets at the taxpayer's expense). His embrace of Putin and other "leaders" like him.

He has argued that it should be left up to the states. So would it be right to you if certain states said no to same sex marriage essentially forcing gay citizens who choose to be together to leave? Ever heard of Loving vs Virginia?

So you can say, "He didn't make your life miserable. I told you he wouldn't. He just appointed others to do so".

No. But I view Roe v. Wade as essentially irreversible from a practical standpoint. And, I'm more concerned about the NLRB and other agencies overreaching their need.

I suppose that's a compliment of sorts and frankly don't disagree. But would add that both parties have been surrendered to the wing nut radicals in large part. Ted Cruz and Elizabeth Warren are equally distasteful; seems all they care to do is whine and accuse rather than negotiate and govern.

My first choice was Rubio but that was not an option in the general.

I don't care about where he vacations (would be odd to see him at a Pritzker property) any more than I did about Obama's. I'm disappointed in what appears to be a shit show of organization in the west wing but hopeful that the relatively new COS will enforce some order. I'm not optimistic about someone shutting down his Twitter account and don't expect that to change - it's how he got himself elected. Like the tax bill but won't benefit personally.

Now that's funny. BTW, Mr Kelly was sworn in on 7/28/17 which does not make him even relatively new.

By many accounts, there is more order in the west wing. I'm guessing it wasn't easy to tell the boss that his son in law's temporary security clearance was being canceled.
