I'm not really a fan of Fall Out Boy, but I just did a google on the lead singer and I was surprised to find so much negativity out there about him. He seems to be this era's Fred Durst or something. Can someone enlighten me as to why?

One thing I found that was funny was this YouTube video. The commentator says that Wentz thinks penises are ugly, but that didn't stop him from photographing his own. Good point.

lol, people always comment on his penis as either very small or very big. It goes to show how retarded the general public is about size. I bet you he's the same size or maybe even bigger than most guys that say his dick is small. I think unless you become self aware or concious about your penis, you are naturally inclined to believe anything less than what you typically see in porn films (basically 7+ inches) is below average. I know I kind of used to think that way...I did not see my own penis as average. I actually gave my own penis size a second thought and if I judged a penis as being "small", it was because it was smaller than the usual penis I was exposed to just from looking at porn. I'd say Pete is average, maybe just under 6" long. From the angle the pic is taken it looks longer but if you flip it and see it from his point of view you can relate it to your own penis size easier which gives it the "truer" size (does anyone get what I mean by this? if not I can explain). But yeah, the girls will continue saying his penis is big and the guys will continue saying it's small, not just because of what I said but because lots of guys envy him. Lots and lots of girls would fuck him. His penis isn't undeniably large by everyone's standards, so he obviously MUST be small. That's a bitter boy's argument, at least..

My sentiments exactly. All these people going around talking about "not selling out" ... what? If you are in a pop/rock band you are in essence saying that you want an audience. And then when you get an audience, people accuse you of selling out? I don't get it.

And a sell out is bad because?

If someone was handing me a check with several zeros before the decimal point, I'd sign the line too. I might be a sell out, but I'd be laughing all the way to the bank.

I think people don't like Pete Wentz because he's the face of Fall Out Boy, but he's not the lead singer. It's an unconventional thing for the frontman not to be the singer and people are put off by that.

It was a conscious thing done by the band because Patrick didn't think he could be a believable "frontman" and frankly, didn't want that title. Pete could better handle it and that's why they don't hate each other.

When people say "_______ band sucks," it's usually because they're into a completely different form or style of music; and thus their opinion doesn't count. It's like if I said, "Metallica sucks" it's only because that's not my favorite style of rock...I don't even like metal music, period. Therefore, anyone who says "fall out boy sucks" to someone who likes fall out boy, really doesn't have a valid opinion.

And for that Fred Durst comment, bollocks! Fred Durst is a huge tool who takes himself too seriously...that's why everyone hates or hated Fred Durst.

He is a sell out because when they were "underground" they served one group there fans. But now they are plastering there music videos with ads(yes they might as well be commercials) for such companies as tag body spray and nokia phones.

I don't know why everyone else hates him but, I don't have much respect for him considering the fact that he's been dating Ashlee Simpson. She has NO credibility as an artist. He should be going out with someone with more artistic integrity.
