I mentioned it in the Westworld thread, but it's a combination of sex toy and porn into one thing. Like a flesh light, but one where you don't have to close your eyes.

I don't think the cost would ever be at a point where men would be going out and buying highly advanced sex robots in any kind of apperciable volume. But I could see technology advancing enough in the distant future that robo-prostitutes become a thing.

Also, no it wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar anything as most of the men who would want one or who would want to buy one couldn't. Remember when vr first came out? How expensive it was. Remember how that alone tank it's prospects? Same principle here. Sure, rich people would be able to buy it but why would they want to. They're too busy actually having a life.

I think you're confusing some things here. Mainly choice. If those men could be with a real woman they would be with a real woman. I would guess that many of their problems are problems you've had. Now this isn't talk about the guys with whom it is a fetish. Those guys specifically go that route because..it's a fetish but theres a difference between choosing to do something and having to do something because you have no other choice. I would imagine you're in the latter camp.

I'm guessing you're looking towards this because you can't get what you want from women. Problem is though that you haven't noticed that you aren't giving them or can't give them what they want. I don't know if your starfish comments are true but i would surmise that the reason those ladies weren't satisfied was because you weren't satisfying.

Pretty understandable why there will be a fairly decent size market for things like this.

- Many men are so busy with their career lives that they don't have time or the opportunity to meet a woman that they may be interested in having a relationship with. This results in them totally giving up on ever finding someone.
- Many men have gone through rough divorces and are less than enthusiastic about getting back into the game.
- Paying for an escort/prostitute may be out of the question due to moral/emotional reasons or fear of the law, as this is illegal in many western nations.


Personally, I think the sex robot concept is kind of creepy in it's own kind of way.....but I really wouldn't see it as any different than using a fleshlight or any other type of sex toy.
