Tbh death by cops lethality (deaths / population) is by far higher in African americans in the USA. That's not normal at all.
so the police should be doing something about it within their own cities-the Mayors usually have control over the police force-how many black women police chiefs quit last year due to cutbacks-ridiculous and then to have BLM say they dont consider them to be black anymore is bloody ridiculous

I don't make assumptions, I refer to data.
It's a fact that the lethality for cop interventions is statistically higher for black people.
The use of unnecessary violence has been proved (even for non blacks but less frequent).
Clearly institutions should do something about that.
It's the same thing I would answer to that so called woke that I had to ignore.
Always check the data. If you have a certain incidence of violent crimes, death by guns, civils going nuts and killing ppl, cops using eccessive force, etc, you can see that there's a pattern. US are litterally the only rich democratic country where those stuffs are a thing.
And yes, there's a problem with racism and no, US aren't representative of "white people".

Lol I never once mentioned a color, only a very clear and obvious bias on your part. You've outed yourself
I didnt mention a color either-i was referring to your clear and obvious that everything is black and white and if you dont agree then you throw in the words " racial biases"

I question your interpretation of what this young man was doing in several respects. Most relevant for this thread is that you are presenting it as related to race. Justifying brutal violence against the ruling class is not apparently about race, especially if the person you're hearing it from is a genuine Communist.
First of all, murdering children can never be justified. Let’s just get that out of the way. Are you implying that it can?

But as to it being related to race, no, it wasn’t. He said “White people are the worst” on a separate occasion from when he said the women and children who were murdered during the Russian Revolution deserved their deaths. I mentioned his comments regarding the Russian Revolution to show that he was crazy. The point I was making was that yes, there are white people who say “White people are the worst,” but the ones I have known who say that usually are a bit off, as in they have something wrong with them. Now, I know that might sound a little strange coming from me considering I started this thread asking why are so many white people angry and prone to both far-right and far-left extremism. However, I’m not a self-hating white person who thinks white people are the worst. I’ve just noticed that the vast majority of people on both far-right and the far-left, whether you look at groups/organizations or protestors, tend to be white. All you have to do is look at the demographics of the people who raided the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, and the demographics of the people who have been protesting and rioting in Portland, Oregon for almost a year now. In both cases, the vast majority of the people are white. For whatever reason, there seems to be a lot of angry white people who are prone to violence.

You're confusing american wasp people with white people.
Everything depends by the culture you're grown in, races aren't a thing.
Not all white Americans are WASPs. In fact, the majority probably aren’t. This isn’t a country of Anderson Coopers. There are many white American Catholics, Jews, Mormons, atheists, agnostics, etc. You can find white Americans who aren’t Protestant on both the far-right and the far-left. For whatever reason, there seems to be a lot of angry white people who are prone to violence. I believe it might have to do with white people, especially white men, having a sense of entitlement. White men are getting college degrees at far lower rates than they used to, and at far lower rates than women are. Idk if many are lazy and that’s why they’re not getting college degrees, but these same white men tend to be angry and blame everything on the government and “the establishment.”

Still, US is not representative of rest of the world or white people in general.
Same for african american, they are so different by people born and raised in Africa (and we could debate abt which part of Africa).
Even the concept of white or black people doesn't make a lot of sense, actually.

Fair point, but if you read my first few posts in this thread, you will see that I was mainly referring to white Americans. I just couldn’t fit the word “Americans” in the thread title because there is a character limit for thread titles.

Then in this case it's different.
But, tbh, it sounds like when some ppl say that black people (in US) are prone to violence.
Depends by the culture you live in (and social class). Ethnicity can influence your chance of being born rich or poor, but it's not a causal link.
So why there are a lot of angry white people? Look at the context they live in. The politics and the narrative.
Imho, both rep and dem have a lot of responsabilities for social conflicts. But I am not expert of US politics so I don't want to assume too much.

I’m a white male and I think there’s definitely something troubling going on with white men in the U.S. My guess is it’s mental health issues related to both a sense of entitlement and feeling lost because white men are no longer always the most successful or the breadwinners. Now we have competition from women and people of color. I think that’s a good thing, but it does mean that being a white male doesn’t increase your chances of landing a good job and being financially successful as much as it once did. And I think a lot of white men would rather blame the government and “the establishment” than have to work harder than they were expecting to achieve success. That’s what I mean when I say that I think there’s a sense of entitlement and a sense of loss among white men in the U.S. Maybe it’s like this in other countries too. Idk

Well, the american dream was just a dream and i understand that a lot of people are mad about that. But it's important to look at the social context. Radical positions are more frequent in poor settings (and this is true for minorities, too).
There are white people that litterally live in vans. For sure they aren't priviliged.
Now, they have rep that tell them it's not their fault, and dem that whites are always priviliged. Guess what they could chose.

They are compared to black people that live in vans. Especially when police are involved.
And that's a perfect example of the narrative that push those kind of people towards far right.
And consider that for western UE the US left is basically our moderate right wing.

You call it a narrative, I call it the truth. I can't help where people let themselves be pushed.
And still it's a narrative. There are a lot of people in the US that are poor, without a decent public school or healthcare. Without a real house, with a shitty job that they could likely lose in few years.
Then comes the genius that tell them they are privileged because they are white.
Free votes for the far right, mission accomplished.

Try being all those things, *and* black, here in the U.S. Then get back to me.

People who vote for the far right have deeper issues than being called "privileged."

Nice joke from a non black / non living in a van guy.
Go live in a van and work in a mine for one year, then come back so we can talk about your privilege.
Your is just some right wing elitism covered with some self entitled woke glitter.

I've faced worse than living in a van or working in a mine, and for more than a year. And I was still better off than the black people there with me. Even now I'm still not among the elite, of any persuasion.
