Why aren't there more little people in porn and tv?

I mean, the title pretty much gets it all out there. I seriously do want to know why there aren't more little people in porn, and in tv period. And when they are on tv, it's a show about being a little person and the difficulties that they go through. It definitely needs to be displayed, but at the same time, they're people just like anyone else, and quite frankly I'm offended. I want to see more little people on tv doing the damn thing. Take Dharma and Greg for example- the show fucking sucked, but I probably would've watched more of it had Greg been 4'2ft, nice hair, and wore sweater vest.
And by the way, I'm over it with porn too! If a little person does porn, that's a fetish porn, and that's not right! They're people too, dammit! Just once, I'd like to get on SeanCody.com and see Dylan being fucked in the ass doggy-style position by someone standing on a shoe box. We need equality, people!!!!

Not sure I'd call it fetish porn. It gets it's own category, yes, but then so does lesbian porn, threesomes, etc.

I don't think it's so much about equality but about proportion (statistical not physical).

Dwarfism affects approximately 200,000 people in the US out of a population of 308,961,091, which works out to be 1 out of 1545.

I couldn't begin to guess what the ratio is for porn or regular actors but I wouldn't guess that it was so very far off.

have you ever seen Little People Big World? I fid it a bit condescending at times but it's a great show overall.

My guess to your question would be that there aren't that many little people period - little people are a minority, so perhaps there isn't a real demand for them since there aren't a lot of little people to demand more if that makes sense.

I had to state this because I was watching some show on Animal Planet about little people who take in and protect pitbulls. Two of them were having issues because they could only be casted as dwarfs or munchkins or elves, and that's just not fair to them.

It's the same with a lot minorities and people with disabilities. You only rarely see any blind or deaf characters and they're usually just walk-ons. People with Down's and wheelchair users are pretty rare too. The only shows I can think of that have regulars who are disabled are Hollyoaks, where there's a character with learning difficulties and one wheelchair user and Coronation Street, where there's a recurring character who is deaf.

Perhaps writers/producers are scared to include disabled characters in case their portrayal is seen as offensive or condescending. It's a shame, because the more we see people with disabilities or who are visually different, the more we learn that they're just ordinary people.

EXACTLY!!!!!!! That's the point that I'm making. It's like homosexuality- the more and more it was displayed in the media, the more socially acceptable it has become.

I am oddly attracted to "little" men, and have had sex with them on 2 occassions. Yes in our society it is considered Fetish, and seems to be kept pretty much underground. And thats the sad part.

I guess not many little people want to do porn and probally not too many people want to see it. I personaly am not partial to it but I have seen some little people and it was cool watching them perform.

Yeah, that show. That show is 22 minutes long... 5 minutes of that goes to Pit Bulls. The other 17 minutes is about shit going on with them. I liked the people, I just felt that it should have been on TLC and not Animal Planet.

Most people aren't as big as they appear on tele. It's about camera-angle etc. Most really aren't that tall. Look at the musicvideos of Kylie Minogue! She looks quite tall in them, but she really is so little...

actually there are a bunch of little people in the TV industry- but usually they work in the crew... as stand-ins for child actors who have limited working hours.
