Why can't you record the date correctly?

    Day, Month, Year.

What is the logic behind this, Month, Day, Year, nonsense?

I trust that none of the other Colonies adhere to this recalcitrance.

I have often wondered why you people on the otherside of the Atlantic ocean insist upon writing dates backwards. :boggled: The proper way is month, day, year.

Because M/D/Y is easier to sort in Excel and financial software. (Spoken as someone who USED to write D/M/Y)

    Duh...

    July 29, 1953 = 7/29/53

    Makes sense to me.

It's because in Europe we would say 18th August 2009 18/08/09 where as in the US they would say August 18th 2009 08/18/09. Now stop picking on the americans Drifterwood, they have enough difficulty with their spelling as it is. :biggrin1:

So by the same logic, do you suppose when you give the time, you should provide seconds, minutes, and then the hour?
    E.G noon being 00:00:12 rather than 12:00:00?
    Now noon on August 18th, 2009 will 00:00:12 18/08/2009!

Precisely, there is a logical progression. It doesn't matter really which way round, so long as the sequence of scale is respected. Have you changed the grid coordinate's sequence? That could explain my sat nav.

At least there is a consensus astrologically which starts with Earth, progresses to the solar system, further grows in scale to our part of the galaxy, the galaxy in general, our local neighborhood, the local group, etc etc. Perhaps spacetime will become easier to understand when we all start using space/time coordinates in the same manner?

It is quite obvious that this whole date problem is the fault solely of Rafael Benitez and Liverpool F.C.

ergo, no more Liverpool F.C., no more calendar problems and pan-atlantic misunderstandings.

the solution is obvious. dissolve Liverpool FC, all will be well again.

    carry on.

On a slightly less serious note than the blasphemous rantings of a deranged field of dreamer, this issue could explain some interesting facts.

I have noticed that The Brits have realised that they can only be safe to do joint operations with the Yanks against the Taleban on 01.01.09 then 02.02.09 then 03.03.09 etc etc

I will understand if this post has to be deleted for reasons of National Security.

Though it pains me deeply, I believe you have something of a celebration on the 4th of July.

I don't recall ever hearing of July 4th celebrations.

I agree with the date recording . However , then you guys go & mess up the cricket scoring . For example , the correct way is , Australia 2/200 at lunch day 1 , Fifth test . I get all excited when I see , England 6/2 ... but soon realize when we are playing over there , you guys are Only two wickets down for 6 runs after 5 overs :biggrin1:

I appreciate that you have been teaching us how to play the game for the last twenty years, Sneaky, but whose fucking game is it in the first place?

Australia two hundred before lunch , how many stubbies have you had?
